Did they have a TO? Wasn't that why they received a technical foul? For calling a TO when they didn't have one?
They had either 1 or 2 at the time, it was at the very end of the game they called one they didn't have, it's possible the scoreboard was wrong at the time.

I just went back to see when he called his timeouts. He had 3 left at 35.9 which is when they turned the ball over that and he called a TO there to regroup for DCG inbounding under their own hoop down 4. Then calls another TO after that crazy sequence that DCG took the lead. Then calls his last TO at 7.4 when they were in their fould frenzy to get to 5 fouls. Then when he called a TO at 5.4 after they fouled to finally put DCG to the line and that was the technical.

It looks like (if the broadcast is correct) each team had two timeouts when this took place. They definitely had at least one at the time because they called a legal timeout right after this whole sequence. The technical for not having a timeout was in the last few seconds.

Norwalk will be getting the ISU treatment...apology letter but no replay. A timeout that was taken by DCG was charged to Norwalk, when Norwalk took the TO that a technical was assessed on, they still had one left if not for the official's scoring error. State has acknowledged it made a mistake, but won't replay the end. Should have been Norwalk down 2 with 10 seconds left and the ball.

I heard it from a good source that the refs called Norwalk as they still had one timeout left when they got T'd up. Not sure it mattered too much at that point, and can't take anything away from the DCG girl. Instant classic, and I'm from Norwalk.

Kind of second-guessing after the first turnover. I don't know if the ball came in too hot and that's why she didn't catch it but I would have called a timeout and put a play in place where either you run the baseline or go to option B or C because the star was being double teamed. Nothing else have a taller player throw it in or go for the homerun pass just to take time off the clock.

But both the girl throwing it in and the girl receiving the ball are sophomores. So they will have another year or two to make it back.

Should be a packed house tonight for the 5A title

Wonder if the coach did not tell her she could run the baseline. On both players she just stood there attempting to inbound the ball. Running the baseline would have given them a better chance to get the ball in.

They are high school kids, freaked out a bit. If it could have went wrong, it did for Norwalk. My kid is on the team but didn’t play. Was a **** show ending with the T. Probably didn’t matter but unfortunate the way it ended.
Feel bad for the backlash #12 is taking, she had such a good year.
