He did it for the second most profitable sport we had in men’s basketball
Hoiberg had experience in the front office of NBA teams. It is not head coaching, but it is significant in terms of running a major program.

You just made all that up.So the guy that didnt get the job.
Who is probably sour, and biased, and very possible part of the problems in the past.
No idea what your connection is to gymnastics, but you appear to possibly be just as biased.
Women’s soccer won one conference game last year. One.
Breaking news: she was the asst coach under Amy Pyle…
And 10s of people have noticed?Point being our soccer program has been a perennial punching bag for its entire existence
So.... why do all these so called insiders, just post vague accusations? You just made all that up.
Sorry, I’ll take the testimony of a coach who was there to witness things as opposed to message board yahoos…
So.... why do all these so called insiders, just post vague accusations?
If they know the real deal, why dont they just come out and say it?
So the rest of us "Yahoos" dont have to rely on the rumors and "make up" things.
You joined here basically at the point Gymnastics problems showed up in public, your first dozens of posts were all about this, and 99% of your posts have been about this. Maybe like I said you have a few irons in the fire about this yourself, maybe you are Ryan, or someone else involved, maybe you are the parent whos daughter left the program last year that has been saying stuff all over socials.
No idea, but you obviously may have a bit of a bias toward one side of this.
Basically there have been a lot of rumors out there, a lot of things that obviously have been going on for years, that involved investigations etc. There obviously have been issues with parents meddling, there obviously was a mutiny in the program, etc. where there were refusals to compete etc. that was all made clear in JPs statement. Seems a lot of the rumors are being found to be true. What the underlying issues were, like drinking, hazing, complaints, coaching, etc. we can only go by rumor until someone clarifies it.
Say what you want, tell me it was a bad hire, tell me there were issues with the coach etc. But what were the issues before the current coach hire? Why have there been investigations and issues before this coach? Why do you not see the same issues in other programs, that also may have had bad coaches/hires over the years?
2 things can be true, at the same time, that the gymnasts and parents have been toxic and have had serious issues for years, as well as the current coach was a bad hire and people complained about her.
I am not excusing either of them, but you know what that does equal, a toxic program that is failing, with a lot of problems that have been going on for many years. That the University is probably better off, moving on from than continuing to fight it.
Sometimes the Squeaky wheel gets the grease, and sometimes they get replaced, that is life.
I had this though also. Might be appealing to be known as the president who brought Women’s wrestling to ISU. On the other side you could get stuck with the legacy that Women’s gymnastics died under you.Disappointed for current members of the team. This type of upheaval can't be easy for the young ladies.
But wonder if it was inevitable with the growing popularity of other women's sports like wrestling and hockey.
And some of those sports might be cheaper from a facility, operating costs and liability standpoint.
Also, wonder if timing was based on getting ISU's new Presidents approval.
Oh I am sure there may be, but I also am sure some of those on socials are not part of a legal dispute.I suspect that there are lawyers involved. If parties speak too much too publicly, they may compromise their legal standing or the standing of others for future settlements.
Is there a reason you’re responding to all posters other than the ones pointing out that one of JPs biggest hires ever in the 2nd most important sport in the AD was someone who never coached before? Or just hoping your false narrative holds up?You just made all that up.

They spelled Veishea differently in my day.
That would be none.Bring in whatever costs the least to meet title ix requirements.
We can't ask to bring back beers because we have never had beers in the first place. So we can only complain about starting beers.and beers!!!
Rest of Big XII has women's soccer, and is a big participation sport in Iowa.So the same as the soccer team.
