*** Official #16 Texas Tech vs #4 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Yousef Gray Jr.
Christian Wiggins
Jackson Kiss
Dorian Rinaldo Komlan
Are any of them great shooters?
Is Mason Williams a great shooter?
As great as Milan is...he can't do it himself every game. Each year TJ seems to get the team a little better offensively. I'm hoping next year will keep trending that direction.
Yousef Gray is an upgraded version of Lipsey (is the hope/vision). Wiggins looks like a scorer. Apparently Mason Williams should be a good scoring lift but coming out of a knee injury is tough

Yeah the thing that’s frustrating is we’ve now elevated to a really good team that is consistently top 15 and top 10 ranked. We’re fortunate but now it’s people wanting to break through the next level. I’d love an elite 8 but I just don’t see it happening this year and we’re gonna regress a bit next year if I had to guess

Seriously how many times you gonna say it? I’m curious?

He should be pissed at himself for not having them ready to play the first half of a very important game
Well then, maybe tj needs to not let one of the best shooters in the country take 6 wide open 3s. It's his plan that did that.

If like to see him throw a chair and get double techs and get thrown out.

Because I can’t. So he has to.

if I did that I’d be in jail.

That chair (and whatever it hit) would take the brunt of that if it happened. TJ seems to have made a VERY conscious decision early in his coaching tenure to be the "level-headed" respectful coach to officials. I get that, and even respect it, but it's hard to reconcile with how pissed off I am watching at home. I wouldn't have near the restraint he has.

No excuse for the effort they showed in the first half. Deserved to lose

And Toure may not bring much in the way of offense but he's the best backcourt defender we have. Take him out and the defense will have more problems. That's exactly why he gets the minutes he does.

Honest question that may not have a great answer.....do you think it's simply confidence at this point? For him and Lipsey both? I've never fully trusted Toure's outside shot, but early on it was good enough to keep people honest.

Its confidence with Toure. And even though we played some decent teams out of conference he's playing against high level defenders every game now. There is also more tape on him. People know his weaknesses. He was probably getting some easier baskets off steals and things early on when teams usually play a little sloppy. Conference games are just a different animal.

Today was a bad loss. Maybe not in the eyes of the tourney committee so much but you have to win that game at home. We are better than Tech.

Anybody go undeated at home this year?

Duke and Miami of Ohio, anyone else?

Michigan lost to Bucky
Zona lost to Tech I think.
Kansas lost to a couple of teams.
Tech lost to Kansas.

1 loss isn't horrible, and its not like they lost to Kansas State last year.

They played poorly though no disagreement there

Tech lost to Kansas.

Most helpful perspective (for me, anyway) so far....thanks for posting that, actually.

Those were bad losses by them too.
So all but 2 teams had bad losses at home...

Well I guess ISU is in with lots of company, a couple of which are expected to make a run at a national title

I can live with it.

Does not mean I am happy with their play.

Your problem is you have no objectivity... You don't like ISU
