It does matter, you can go get a win on the road against a top 5 and it all but guarantees your 2 seed.
Maybe. But also… so? 2 seed vs 3 seed, I don’t feel like the difference means a whole lot at this point.

Its not exactly being critical it's just the way it is. John Calipari had a hall of fame career doing it.So now we are relegating TJ to "rah rah" and recruiting?
I’d much rather be a 2 than 3. It does suck this team had total control of their destiny and could have been a 1 seed but like every TJ team, they pissed down their leg the second next level expectations hit. They do better when expectations get lowered or they’re being overlookedMaybe. But also… so? 2 seed vs 3 seed, I don’t feel like the difference means a whole lot at this point.
It would be nice to have a higher ceiling at some point. Recently even teams like NC State, SDSU, Loyola Chicago all had magical runs in the tournament but we can’t even sniff anything past the second weekend.
Go cheer for your beloved Hawkeyes and coach McCallum who is the second coming of John Wooden. They are a serious title contender. It would be nice to have a higher ceiling at some point. No. But it doesn’t matter. All the tie breakers are against us. Would take chaos the final week to not be the 5th seed now.Are people just automatically assuming we’re gonna lose at Arizona?
Yeah that’s what I keep saying is that it’s gonna be hilarious winning against Arizona Monday lol most cyclone thing ever win games when you aren’t expecting it and lose when it should be a winWell, at least we’re guaranteed to beat Arizona Monday night.
I think Zona will have a let down after KU, does not mean ISU wins or comes close to winning, but Zona may look flat for awhileAre people just automatically assuming we’re gonna lose at Arizona?
We won the turnover battle by 8 and points of turnovers also by 8. We shot 16 more free throws and scored more points from the FT line. What killed us today was their making 14 three pointers to our 8, that is an 18 point swing. They got to 59 with meaningless shots at the end...
What it tells you is they don't get shots off turnovers, when shots are below 60 it means they did not turn the opponent over enough to be successful. Which means their shooting percentage will go down as well with less open looks or drives to the hoop.
Kind of a selffulling prophecy thing.
Yeah the thing that’s frustrating is we’ve now elevated to a really good team that is consistently top 15 and top 10 ranked. We’re fortunate but now it’s people wanting to break through the next level. I’d love an elite 8 but I just don’t see it happening this year and we’re gonna regress a bit next year if I had to guess
I’m worried Buchanan is gonna get eaten alive by Krivas but I am very excited to watch the Koa Peat vs Jefferson matchup. Find a way to contain Bradley a bit see what happens. Hopefully our guys come out angry as **** after today’s embarrassmentI think Zona will have a let down after KU, does not mean ISU wins or comes close to winning, but Zona may look flat for awhile
He's got them going in the right direction for sure. 20-9 and 2 games above .500 in conference in year 1 after taking over a mess of a program.Go cheer for your beloved Hawkeyes and coach McCallum who is the second coming of John Wooden. They are a serious title contender.
He should be pissed at himself for not having them ready to play the first half of a very important gameListening to the post game show. While it's still a lot of TJ speak, you can tell he's pissed
They still can, anybody can get hot come tournament time but I just don't get expect more than 1 or 2 wins in the big tournament. I liked the team last year quite a bit more but injuries derailed the whole thing which is an Iowa State trademark unfortunately, I'm still not over the Niang injury. It would be nice to have a higher ceiling at some point. Recently even teams like NC State, SDSU, Loyola Chicago all had magical runs in the tournament but we can’t even sniff anything past the second weekend.
Uhhhh…a coach calls plays. Directs players. Makes strategic changes.I think some of the responses you are getting is you are choosing to go on the attack against one of (if not THE) best coaches Iowa State has ever had in basketball. Critique and analyze away, but calling him a "figurehead" is an awful take.
NC State was horrible going into their tourney then got hot.It would be nice to have a higher ceiling at some point. Recently even teams like NC State, SDSU, Loyola Chicago all had magical runs in the tournament but we can’t even sniff anything past the second weekend.
At least Mason Williams is not.Yousef Gray Jr.
Christian Wiggins
Jackson Kiss
Dorian Rinaldo Komlan
Are any of them great shooters?
Is Mason Williams a great shooter?
As great as Milan is...he can't do it himself every game. Each year TJ seems to get the team a little better offensively. I'm hoping next year will keep trending that direction.
