*** Official #16 Texas Tech vs #4 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Not sure the last time I saw a team hit 10-11 from 2 in a half...
They actually would be further ahead if they stuck to that given that percentage.. Holy Crap...

Last thought then I think i am going to move on with my day. There are too many games this year where the team just feels like its going through the motions. They get away with it sometimes, for instance earlier this week against Utah. The team has the talent to be a Final 4 caliber team, but the killer instinct and focus just doesn't seem to be there.

The thing about our traps is that we’ve just quit trying to disguise when/where it’s coming from. It’s so predictable now.

Some would say, it's the way TTU is handling and moving the ball that gives them the open shots. In other words, exactly what GT25Ump said.
They welcome the trap & dribble all the way to the sideline. After passing the 1 defender has too far to go to get back in defensive position.

Tech came with a good game plan and have the right skilled players.

It’s been pretty hard to watch, but better to see what Tech’s doing today and hopefully learn from it.

It does seem to be a lack of killer instinct. When properly motivated this team has shown time and again that it’s up to the challenge.

When not, it looks like a middling Big 12 team.

That’s on TJ, and it’s on senior leadership.

That’s the exact recipe for a first round upset.

I agree for the most part but not sure on the talent of a Final 4 team though. Just don't think we have enough guys to create their own offense and make enough buckets.

They don't have depth, so wearing them out and getting them in foul trouble will help our comeback.

what is with TJ and getting blown out at home? For as good as our home record is, I can’t figure out why the losses are big so often when we do lose.

Aren’t they 48-2 the last 3 years at Hilton? 1 being a double OT loss? The other was KSU by a bunch, but goodness…this is an all time horrible take.
