Oof. A little jarring seeing as our reporters have been impressed with some of the additions. Clearly outside analysts believe we didn't do a good job recruiting players. Jimmy was put in a bad situation based on timing, but articles like this remind me that we could very well go 2-10 next season. It would be devastating for the program and the AD.

I do think the current staff brought in many solid players, but there is also a reality that the team lost seven 4stars and brought in one. If you are ranking/grading the classes, that's not good.

So the knock is that we got FCS players? That doesn’t really seem like any deep level analysis. Doesn’t seem like the reporter did anything but look at what the team the transfer was coming from.

Ouch! Oh no! One man's opinion is unfavorable!!! Why go on???? :explode:
Transfer rankings are worthless, and they might be even worse than that. Look no further than our basketball transfers and the success we've had there. None of those guys were seen as big gets. Kalscheur, Brockington, Jefferson, Buchanan, Gilbert, Jones, etc... all studs. 'Experts' who rank transfers have zero idea what they're looking for, just taking a wild guess based on where the kid played and where he is transferring too. They're not studying hours of film on these guys. Probably not even watching a highlight tape for most of them.

How did the talking heads evaluate Indiana’s transfer class last year? No one knows anything right now…
Amen. These recruiting rankings are like pre-season rankings, they may generate some clicks but they're absolutely worthless.
