For the best interest for our Cyclones, in both the Big XIi, as well as the NCAA tournament, who should we be cheering for between Houston and Arizona today?

Personally I'm just rooting for a really entertaining game. I'll let others tell me who would benefit us more by winning.

For our chances for winning the Big 12, Arizona would be the one to cheer for.

For ISU, I'd cheer for Arizona. Beating Houston at home is kind of expected and can be discounted by the committee. If we go into a Big 12 leading Arizona and beat them on their floor, that would be more of a statement to bump us up a seed. Mostly I'd like a good game that looks like two of the best teams in the country with no more injuries. Honestly, I don't care all that much about winning the Big 12 regular title. Always funny to me how doing that in football doesn't matter, but basketball it does to some. It seems to me the Kansas and the national pundits over emphasize it because of Kansas's long run of "regular season titles" over Big 12 tournament titles.

Given what we just saw from the committee, this is the way, especially with Houston out of the way on the schedule and a matchup at Arizona left.

There is no regular season title in football. It's not that it "doesn't matter" — it doesn't exist.

You get a trophy and a banner in basketball. Regular season titles are more prestigious than conference tourney titles and always have been (other than in the ACC).

I'm thinking more that if Arizona and ISU keep their same profile, we'd have nothing to lose at Arizona. If we win, probably jump them in the overall seed list. If we lose, stay the same.

Zona cuz you still have a chance to beat them. If Houston wins and ISU stubs it's toe, not a lot of options
