2026 crop year

I plan on buying an electronic rain gauge. Hoping they are more accurate than the computer generated stuff. What do you use?
I bought an Ambient 2902 weather station off of Amazon for about $270 three years ago and checked it's rain gauge against one I kept in the yard for the first summer. It was right on. Wind, temperature, pressure, humidity, and solar output are also all included with a wireless display in your house and connection by app to a database of similar stations online to generate forecasts and reports. It's been a pretty good tool.

They may be in a better position if their offer to settle all Glyphosate law suits pans out. I speculated that when they bought Monsanto out that it would be a problem for them that they did not realize how large their exposure would be. Note that Trump has made an executive order that is a positive move for Glyphosate.

Bayer and Monsanto were two different cultures company wise. Like oil and water. It was going to be messy no matter what.

oh the days of bartering with pallets of roundup....

germans dont like that type of business too much

How are input prices looking this year? I hear last year was insane.
We already booked chemicals and seed, and it was insane. We have one field that needs anhydrous this spring, and we were told last fall to plan on paying almost double what we paid in the fall for it. Haven’t done that field yet, so not entirely sure if that’s accurate

Winter canola starting to take off in the south as an alternative crop. Mostly for renewable aviation fuel and bio diesel . Corteva had an announcement about their expansion in low carbon crop just about 3 years ago.

Corn is just beginning to pop up. Cant row it yet. But give it 3 days, it’ll be a beauty. You have to click on the pic to see it clearer. I don't know what it is about CF but I can never get a pic on here that looks good.
It might just be how the pic looks? But should there be a corn plant between the 2 that are there? He better show up soon or it will never catch up.

Assuming it’s low pop. They plant some crazy low populations down there due to lack of rain

Man it just poked out this morning. There was nothing out there yesterday. There's plenty more coming. This field was planted on the evening of the 13th

I have a Tempest. Its held up really well.

Kid likes the lightning feature.
Tempest has a data base feature that let's you look at weather information from other Tempest stations on the system. The rainfall data seems to closely follow actual measurements.
