Tang gonna Tang

Lawyers driving this bus. It will be a negotiated settlement, Tang will not be tagged with contract violations, university will insist on non-compete clause, and that’s it. Surely the big KSU donors made this happen. Prediction of 9 to 10 million vs. the 18 is probably a good one.
He should get himself one of those Bonilla deals to make KState feel like they got a discount.

I'd insist on a compete clause. You want that dude to play against.

I did my best to convince K-State to keep him. Kept telling them he's an elite 8 coach, he'll turn it around.

Tang would be better off negotiating. A Manhattan jury is likely to reduce the buyout to $1 plus an Aldis paper sack.
I’m not a smart person, but I believe there’s enough money involved AND both parties could end up losing that a negotiated buyout is very likely. I’m in the office pool for $12 million, payout extended to 6 years.

Kevin Ollie got his full buyout at UCONN after going to court and he was being investigated for recruiting violations by the NCAA.

Or one Aldi bag filled with cash . . . . and Tang would grab stacks of $1 dollar bills.
Like one of those phone booths with money blowing around in it? Each coach gets a minute to grab all he can and then he’s gone….

Ya beat me to it. I’d be shocked if Tang doesn’t get his buy-out money. But there is a chance he did something insane to void his contract.
I believe there are two shaker bars in Manhattan. I wonder if Tang ever "did the cannonball" there, too. That would be the most insane vid of all time, but sadly, if such a thing existed it surely would have surfaced by now.

Forced the team to do some locker room prayers, and one or more players are not Christian?

Gambling on the side?

Under the table player payments outside the official NIL loop?

Those are about the only things I can think of short of outright physical or sexual harassment.
