I’d be curious how other lawsuits have played out using similar for clause language that Tang and Kstate have that they’re using here.
I’d assume that Kstate lawyers were ok with using this reason for firing him. Kstate donors are also probably willing to take the risk of firing him if there is a chance the could get out of the buyout. Donors were probably pushing to fire him anyways
I like that the statement he released is already combating the "for cause."

I have little doubt this will end up in a settlement. Neither side will want to go the discovery route and make this a long drawn out trial.

I can’t fathom what the cause is now that didn’t exist years ago. He’s getting fired for losing bar none.
Tang State would certainly be a religious affiliated university. That's for sure.
Iowa ups BMcC buyout to $19M just to up the Tang buyout. Their fans love to crow about how much money they have and are making, that is chicken scratch for them.
