It's just the fact that NOW he is throwing his players under the bus when before he was defending themThat implies a level of self-awareness and introspection that I don’t think we’ve ever seen from Tang.
Must not have Menards in manhattan.they insert those in free shoppers. If they would have saved the $0.04 cents for an Aldi's bag they could have put that to the buyout. Got to start somewhere to get 18 mil. Bags might be more now, but I am not buying them!
Part of me wants them to win a few more games so KSU keeps him around another year. He is good entertainment for the rest of the conference when he has moments like this.
I doubt they do but paper bags over your head is a bad statement and a statement that was proven with that blowout.I don't know K State finances but I really wonder if they have the 18 Million to pay off a basketball coach. Football is different. That is a crap load for a basketball coach buyout.
Wait wait wait...floor mopping...curling....is Tang tanking this year because he is mad he missed out on coaching the Olympic Curling team? He is angling for his buyout so he can afford to coach once every four years. This is easy for K-State. Promote an assistant to HC, put Tang in charge of surveillance of dirty coaches stealing huddle info, and floor mopping duties. You know, play to his strengths.
It is a lot but never know if some donors are ready to move on from him and will write some checks to speed up the process. If this was our coach I'd be embarrassed by the continued behavior he has shown the past few years. He is not a leader of young men, he is a child himself at times between the cheating accusations against TJ the other year, the mop incident at the Big 12 tournament, and several press conference moments like this where he takes no accountability and finds anyone or anything but himself to blame. He recruited these players and he's being paid well to coach them. If he can't get them to buy in and play for him then that's on him too. Yes, the players also have some accountability as well but if there is mutiny in the locker room that is on the coach for not being able to address issues before it got to that point. Saying the players don't deserve to wear the uniform and many of them are not going to be back next year isn't going to make things any better.I don't know K State finances but I really wonder if they have the 18 Million to pay off a basketball coach. Football is different. That is a crap load for a basketball coach buyout.
He especially abused our weak Prohm teams every time. I think he was actually rather pedestrian overall but hulked out against our tweener big Michael Jacobsen and whoever else Prohm would trot out thereTHAT guy? He committed some violence on about every rebound, he was a force for that team.
During the KU game in 2006. At the time I definitely understood it. It was right before McCarney stepped down. They wore them the last year or so of McCarney's tenure. Fans, not students. I was really annoyed by it.
2 weeks before that game we lost to a not good KU team 41-10. Fans had them out then.Yeah, I never noticed that. Then again you did say "not students" so I was one and in the students section at that time...
I remember touching the telephone trophy as we carried Mac off the field in his final game in that victory over Mizzou!
Can you imagine if they buy Tangs $18 mil buyout and follow it up with another bad hire?It seems the end is near unfortunately.
I’ll pass
