Tang gonna Tang

After reading that KC Star article, I don’t understand how Tang would be entitled to the buyout if he was fired without cause.

Apparently sucking at your job isn’t cause enough?

Never is in these contracts. One could argue it should be, but the coaches and their agents hold the leverage in the negotiations for it to not be.

Pretty much have to do something against the code of conduct for employees or severe ncaa violations. Bet KSU is digging pretty deep to see if they can find any of those right now.

If he didn’t lose his fan base after Iowa State, Tang lobs them another hand grenade.

LOL, he really acts like college kids making millions to play BB instead of going to class really have it hard. Seriously, these guys have been golden boys their entire life and have absolutely zero idea what having it tough is.

Yes, there are a few here and there that have actually had to deal with adversity, but overall none of these guys have it as hard as he wants to pretend.

He is a world class douche bag, and it is impossible for him to accept some responsibility. The dude is a complete narcissist pretending to be a saint.

Their Fans are now saying him following a Random OF model on Twitter, should somehow be grounds for cause.

They are really reaching for any way to fire him. Really doubt that one holds up in the end.

Glad KState choked at the end. It's hard enough to win on the road in conference. Would not have wanted to travel to TCU right after they got beat by KState.

It's not fireable but a married 59-year-old public figure, who won't shut up about what a Christian he is, following some OF model on Twitter, is trashy.
Look, I dont want to make excuses for the guy, but it is entirely possible he has no idea who he follows. There is the possibility he just follows back a lot of people that follow him. There is the possibility that someone on his staff has access to his account as well. It is possible the person actually had a real name at one point and then changed it, so he had no idea they were not just a regular person.

Its social media, its hard to tell what is going on half the time. I am sure 95% of people on here dont know everything about everyone they may follow on all socials, and at time you randomly follow people without even paying attention to them.

My guess is there are a lot of people on here that follow several Hawk accounts, that doesnt make them Hawk fans.

Is it funny, considering, who he is and who he claims to be, yeah sure. Especially, considering his holier than thou persona he claims. In that respect its pretty hilarious. But Im not going to claim some ridiculous moral high ground, and be outraged by something that trivial. Im especially not going to think its even remotely to the level of a fireable offense of some sort. Hes a hypocrite, so be it, thats not a surprise.

Whats next people will be outraged to learn he watched an R rated movie once, and he and his wife sleep in the same bed? Come on, this is a nothingburger. Hilarious, and also hilarious their fans are so outraged, but it is an absolute nothingburger.

Also to add.

In my experience some of the people that act like they are the most saintly people around in church every Sunday, are the ones acting like the biggest heathens the rest of the week. So its not really a surprise to me that someone like him that claims to be so saintly, is in reality, far from it.

He's doing everything he can to be bought out and on a beach before the Big12 Tourney. KSU needs to fight dirty and send some hookers to his house or something.
Yeah, somewhere on that campus there's got to be a girl who is his type and willing to take one for the team. :jimlad:

LOL...KSU lead this game, on the road, for 39:54. They lost.

I appreciate not getting TCU off a loss.

"Look, I dont want to make excuses for the guy."

But, rest of message.

You obviously missed the "but" right after that quote.

Yes it was excuses for him, that I didnt want to make.

Thats how it works.

Look, I know he has struggled as of late, but let's not forget that Tang makes the Elite 8 100% of the time he makes the NCAA Tournament. He also is named the Naismith Coach of the Year, and Big 12 Coach of the Year (both by his peers and AP) 33% of the seasons he has completed.

The guy deserves to at least see his current contract all the way through. Let's just let it ride, and check back after the 2029-2030 season.
