2026 investments

I'm so torn on Amazon.
Instead of returning cash to shareholders, they take the high-margin profits generated by AWS and pour them into high-risk, high-reward ventures. They did this with AWS, and created what I consider the most impressive tech that I've ever seen. The problem is that this seems to be a never ending cycle.
The nice thing about investing, you get to make the decision when it is best for you to get off the aggressive growth train, and buy some of the many stocks that have slower growth but send more money out to the investors.

Amazon is going to be aggressive for a long time.

Possibly forever

Interesting that Ensign Peak Advisors, the LDS investment arm, has sold $7.7 billion worth of stock in the last 6 months.

Does your source have any info on where the money was placed? Cash? Foreign exposure? Etc.

I read this as LSD, i thought it was a hallucinogenics play. When it was literally as opposite of that as possible.

Was thinking, how are they doing an IPO when the pot companies cant?

I didn’t bite on this, but US oil and defense stocks have been doing well since December 2025, and may have continued upside in the short term

Anyone playing in this space right now?
I have some Shell stock. Had a nice run since last years dump around March and a dividend of 4% to boot.

I have shares in VNOM that I sold covered calls against (sold 38s @ $2.XX when shares were in the 34s). Think they'll be exercised next week and I'll lose my shares. No biggie since I bought most during the negative oil Covid panic and collected +10% divi for the years in between. Probably will sit on the sector sidelines for the time being since the run seems to have limited upside from here imo.

I have done pretty well in this space over the past few months with: HWA, GE, RYCEY, RTX, BAESY, STX and SAABX. Maybe wait for dips?

More European than U.S. defense.

IBRX, I listened to a podcast last year on the technology for a cancer cure (non-chemo / radiation). Recently it got approval in Saudi Arabia and early this week was approved in Europe. It has FDA approval for a rare bladder cancer - but going through trials for other cancers.

Could be life changing.

That’s a stock that you will either become rich with or lose 90% of what you invest it seems.
