I dont stop at my local Caseys, it never has anything but reheated prepackaged stuff in the annoying, noisy packages. The pizza deal that spins is empty most of the time. I just quit going about 2 years ago. The higher ups must not care? They don't want my money, in my opinion. Gas station food is gas station food, its mostly crap. But for breakfast a slice of pizza fits the bill if I am on a "mission" that day.

I'm not immediately thinking of an open space large enough around Hickman, University, or even down on Mills Civic

Kum n Go pizza blew Casey’s out of the water
Food overall QT and kwik star are much better.

There's still some level of green space on the north side of 80/35 on the newer interchange of NW 100th, where they put that new Kwik Star in a year or two ago.

Possibly also North Merle Hay Road.

I would say it would rule out 75% . It would have to be right off 80/35, in wdm, Johnson, dsm, ankeny, ... there's already too much in altoona prob.

None of those spots have the neccasry space availble though. Except for maybe North Ankeny.

To be honest many of the Kum & Go stores in Cedar Rapids already were.

I think it's funny how now that Kum and Go is gone, everybody is whining about it. I never willingly would go to a Kum & Go. To me, they were far below Quicktrip and Kwik Star. Some of the ones in Des Moines were closer to Git and Go than Kwik Star.

It was/is entertaining watching them slowly rebrand the stores. Didn’t have signage for awhile and some still have missing signage. Then they still have Kum n go red on the store front, pumps, and overhang over the pumps. Gives me a chuckle every time.

Yeah I started referring to them as the Oval stores to Mrs. Velo because so many of them had an emply oval sign out front.

In Omaha, if there is a discovery of card skimmers on gas pumps, 9 out of 10 times it's at a Mega Saver

Maybe, if you're within a handful of miles (like most Midwestern folks).
I'm at least 800 miles from the nearest, Ogallala, NE.
I begin drooling around Cheyenne when headed east. No apologies.

Will agree however, that the over-all biz has declined significantly, across the board.
Probably could say the same for all the biggies. McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Carl's.....

I still like their breakfast pizza. I haven't had the non breakfast pizza in quite a few years
