*** Official #2 IOWA STATE vs Kansas Game(Day) Thread ***

Just hoping Lipsey and Toure are OK. Lipsey looked like he tweaked something and Toure had the injury. Both came back but hopefully there is nothing lingering moving forward.

Batemon stepped up and Heise scoring is a big deal.

We've had this butt kicking coming for a while. Let's hope the sting of this embarrassing loss drives home the lesson that you can't sleep walk into a tough conference game.
Was just telling that to my son. We weren't going undefeated for the season, and we've been starting games very poorly for a couple weeks but it didn't burn us, so there wasn't a lot of urgency to fix that. This team needed a little humbling to get right. Letting your reserves finish out a 20+ point loss in Phog Allen sucks, but it may be what they need right now.

I was afraid tonight was going to happen, this was a must game for KU, and we came out slow allowing their crowd to get into the game. I have not watched KU a lot this year, but that was the best game I have seen them play all year, shot over 50% from the field, hitting 10 three pointers.
ISU could have buried them tonight, and they were up to the challenge, now ISU has to regroup, and not let this loss, cause another one in the next game. We get a rematch in Hilton later in the year, and now need to go on a run playing the bottom teams in the league. Burn this video, get ready for a trip to Cincinnati on Saturday.

They're weird. They don't look that bad, seems like they are loaded with talent like your typical j- hawk team is. Then again, I really haven't watched them until tonight, so can't tell you what's gone wrong.
Watched them in Vegas during the players era and I thought they were a pretty good team without Peterson. Think they had trouble learning to play with him. I think they’re gonna get better but I’m kinda glad we took a loss like this. Shows them they gotta show up every single game. In this league this year, they’re all gonna be tough. A wake up call like this might turn into a blessing.

Toures offense is becoming an issue. If Tamin is off like he was tonight that backcourt becomes very limited. I think that’s what you saw to start the game tonight. I imagine you’re going to see Batemon and Heise creep in on some of his minutes.
