When did rules start mattering again? The only trouble you can get in is through contract laws in the real legal system. NCAA rules violations do not matter. All you have to do is take them to court and they will either wilt or lose.

So unless this guy has signed contracts similar to the Washington QB, nothing matters.

I really don’t think many think he’s trying to save anything. If the last 10-12 years in college athletics has taught us anything, it’s take care of your own self interest before anything else. You’re in the Big 12 or ACC and can escape, you do it. Others, your on your own. Sad reality unfortunately.

You havent spent much time reading the threads on this site if you dont think anyone believes he is trying to save us all. Just go over to the realignment thread and read a few pages, its pretty much almost on every page for the last year.

You do realize that Kalen DeBoer took two or three defensive players from Sioux Falls (D2) to Washington, and they went on to compete for a national championship a few years back. Ole Miss’s quarterback also came from the D2 ranks at Ferris State. I’m not suggesting we’ll see that same level of production, but we also shouldn’t dismiss the possibility of these players competing successfully at this level.

Souix Falls has had 2 or 3 guys make it to the NFL over the last 10 years. So has Grandview. There are diamonds in the rough in D2/NAIA. If anything, they could add depth to ISU's roster.

The problem with ignore is it only works half the time, and doesnt work like a block, so I still have to deal with you regardless. Which needs to be changed, it would work much better as a full on block both ways.

Yes, they won the NAIA National Title under Kalen DeBoer in the 00's, and have been NCAA Division II in the NSIC since 2012. They play in a great conference and at a pretty high level.

USF and Augustana are both D2 schools in the city of Souix Falls. I think they are in the same conference as Minnesota State and Bemidji State. Am I correct?

If we lost 18 seniors but bring in 28 recruits, just random example numbers, that would cut 10 their.

I believe what he's trying to do is save college sports by promoting TT to a NC winner. He wants collective bargaining for TV rights across all conferences. And to do that, he wants to make the powers that be realize the issue by spending so much on TT that they can't ignore it. Kind of duel benefits for him.

Would probably compare with the old days of filling out roster with Juco transfers. There were some really successful programs at going and getting Jucos, especially before the days of mass P4 transfers.

I would guess a guy like this would have similar stats, and expectations as most Jucos.

Also, like I said earlier, we have lost 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string players, some of these guys we are getting in the portal will have to replace those kind of players to. Not every player we go get is going to be a starter, some may also be development hopefuls.
