Who has scored the most points in a game for Iowa State?

I remember watching Ejim that game. They were forcing the ball to him the second half and Monte I think threw an alley oop from like half court. Ejim got it but he just looked tired from dunking so much.

I watched the Lafester game, it wasn't really that. Dude was just everywhere on the court at once. I've never seen anything like it.

Lafester had an interesting career stats-wise, averaged 3.8 points/game until his senior year where he suddenly averaged 22.5 points/game.
Yeah, iirc, he had to sit behind other people. When he played, he was a black hole once he got the ball. I can't remember if he was that tall, but Johnny put him at the center position that year, and the rest is history.

That game was amazing but birderline boring. Ejim dunk, followed by a TCU miss followed by an Ejim dunk. Rinse and repeat

Melvin F'ing Ejim is still my favorite player of all time. He played TJ ball before TJ Ball. He would fit so perfectly in this current system. Actually, he would fit in any system. I need to watch him in the game at BYU again.

My earliest memory of Lafester, seeing it Hilton, was a game his freshman season, ISU had a comfortable lead at about 4-minute mark, Orr inserted LR, along with fellow frosh Wesley Wallace and Eli Parker ... Lafester scored ~ 14 points. He shot it EVERY time he touched the ball. It was freaking fun.

Wish I could remember the opponent. I think it might have been a Big 8 game, but not certain.

I couldn't go to the game but taped it. I need to find that VHS and get it digitized. I got home to watch the last 5 minutes live but couldn't believe his performance after watching the recording. Nuts.

I think one of my top reddit posts was a screenshot from ESPN comparing Ejim's total of 48 to a lessor total score form GA Tech that same day.
It'd be cool to seen the comparison screen shot.

I assume this is the GT game you reference?

I had it on tape too. Must have lost it on one of my moves over the years. Easily one of the most remarkable individual sports performances that I have seen in my life.
