I am an official, and for the most part she took it to the edge and stopped. One time I saw her right up in the official’s space trying to demonstrate something and if she didn’t contact him, it was by millimeters. That should have been a Tech.
Coaches like that are frustrating and unlikable, but they do have to take it over the line, not just be all the way up to the line the ENTIRE game. Personally, I don’t discriminate and still call what I see, but if a call is a true 50/50 and can go either way, guess which way I lean.
While we're on the topic, it really annoys me in recent years with how far and how often coaches come onto the floor while the ball is live. Should be a insta-T.

i think Bill is giving the athletic department exactly what he’s supposed to. Really competitive team at a cheap price (comparatively). The fear is as we go through this Rev Share/ NIL era, are we seeing the best we can do? Because I see a big step back due to costs and what we can afford.
And in no way am I saying he’s doing a good job. Actually pretty poor, but I just don’t know what else we could afford to keep a really competitive team.
Maybe this team needed a loss for a good reality check.
I liked Baylor’s game plan against us and it worked. Jada scored a lot, but was very inefficient. I don’t know how but we have to get Hare the ball in position to score.
I am disappointed because I think we needed to win every home game to win the conference.

I think Jada just didn’t want to be the one to shoot every time down. And when they sag off 12 feet on you, it can get on your head. But she shoots well enough to take a dribble, set her feet, and fire it up. Only way is to shoot them out of that defense.
I think if Jada has dribbled inside the arc and shot she would have punished them enough to make them guard her.
He said they “thought about a lot of things.” Pulling Audi on d. Fouling early. Didn’t say why they didn’t do either. Mostly blamed the kids not named Audi or Jada for “not doing enough.” Took no accountability.
A couple things I’ve noticed as huge differences when you watch the men and women’s teams:
With the men, watch the assistants. They aren’t yelling at refs. They are coaching. Explaining things as they come off the floor. Coaching in huddles. Calling out instructions. Bill’s assistants do nothing.
You watch the men and all five guys are in constant motion. They all have to be accounted for by the defense. Bill just plops two girls in the corner and they aren’t threats. You’re playing 5 on 3.

What could the others do? We literately dribbled the ball in front of Audi with Jada’s defender sagging down. And that’s what we did. I applaud Jada for taking the shots she did. Should have shot 10 more. It’s the darn coaches job to run something different. Dude needs to move on.
I mean, it’s successful I guess. Pop out a good recruiting class every 3 years. Ride it out to some under achieving success, rinse, repeat.
Guys turned it into a lucrative 30 year career and the assistants are along for the ride.

But I despise the one person does all the scoring mentality he has. Absolutely ******* bonkers and it’s going on a decade.

If the guy could learn how to play with 5 girls on the court and not be completely dependent on one (because he sucks when that one is taken away) he could be great

that has been his offense for years. put a person in each corner and maybe pass to them maybe.
If Bill is gone after this season I would expect Addy, Audi, and Jada to transfer.
Baylor ran an offense. Constant movement, screens, extra passes, finding their scorers. We always seem to only have 2 people even touch the ball each possession. We also got torched that short time when Bill had 4 5'8" guards on the floor. End of the day we need to make more wide open shots when they dare you to shoot them and have 3-4 players preventing an entry pass to Audi.
One that drives me nuts is Kenzie Hare. Kids a lethal shooter and we found 2 shots for her all day.
