Campbell’s gonna give a backup QB who’s played like 7 snaps 1/15th of his NIL budget?
I think we are seeing a market for QB's starting to sort itself out already, outside a handful of the top two or three transfers. Big Ten starter and backup are X dollars, regardless of who they are. According to a google search, Drew Allar got $3.2 million last year and Grunk around $1 million in Happy Valley. That was before PSU pledged an extra $10 million above rev share to land Campbell. So it wouldn't be odd for them to spend $4+ million on QB's there at all.

100% agree. I actually hope he keeps all our same uni options around. I do love a black jersey night game here and there so I hope CJR keeps those in the rotation.
That being said, in a 12-16 game season I really don't want to see them worn more than like twice max.
White out always looked better than the blacks anyway. I didn't mind them, but facts are facts.
I don’t mind all black, but I sort of see it as a Campbell thing now. I may be in the minority, but you can do away with all red while you’re at it.

The black & white combos we wore against Iowa in ‘21 and against Miami should’ve never been allowed.
Personally, I’d like to see some cardinal and gold trim with the black uniforms if we continue.

When are all the "experts" going to come out and admit they were totally wrong on how this portal thing was going to pan out, and that they don't have a clue?
All kinds of "experts" said on Jan 2nd we were going to see a whole bunch of commitments coming to ISU... and that hasn't happened at ISU.... or anywhere for that matter.
What actually IS happening though... is that these players are scheduling visits for the coming week to several different schools... and eventually they will come to a decision and commit somewhere. That's pretty normal honestly. There wasn't 20 some kids committing to ISU on Jan 2ne without ever setting foot on campus.
And some of the ones that many said were headed to Penn State, now don't even have Penn State on their visit list. It turns out that nobody really knew how this was going to go down. Shocking.

With two portal windows last year, about 5000 players put in to transfer in total. About 3800 went in the winter window. 4800 players went into the portal just yesterday on the first day.
The House settlement obligation has convinced many of these players and agents that there is a lot more money to be had at the P4 level than in previous years. We will see if that's actually true.
It goes without saying that with that many players available all at once, if you are putting yourself into the portal without having a good idea where you are going to land, you do not have the negotiating ability you may believe you do.

And you'd think he may pay for a few, even a hint over marker, to just get a core group of "culture" guys to help others see the expectations, etc
