The Tang Gang won by NINE points over lowly UL-Monroe (who lost by 11 to Houston Christian - the team we play tonight). I watched quite a bit of the second half. After being down by about 20, ULM cut the Kitty's lead to 4 points with about 3 minutes left in the game. KSU has athletes and when they have a good shooting night, they can put up a LOT of points against most teams - but their defense is awful. I feel like they are one of those teams that, if everyone on their team commits to working hard at both ends of the floor, they can compete with the top teams in the Big12. There will likely be some games where this happens, but I think they will likely end up playing more games of one-on-five hero ball (and mediocre defense). Also if the conference slate goes sideways, I can see players like Haggerty "checking out." But, who knows, maybe the Mildcats will surprise me.

This is another terrible team the team out east is playing.

Settles is a pretty good color commentator.

He actually is pretty good. A bit of a homer, but not obnoxiously over the top. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets opportunities to go to a network gig.

I guess he must have made the most of spending 9 years at a school with a good journalism school?

Looking thru box scores Florida got outscored 45-41 by Dartmouth in the second half.

Until Izzo went scorched earth in the locker room at halftime
Not a huge Izzo fan, but appreciate him putting the heat on Scott Drew (amongst other coaches):

Drew's ******** defense was "well, if they allow it, we'll do it". Scumbag.

I really can’t blame Drew. I would hope otz would do the same. It’s up to the NCAA to fix its own mess.

Honestly I kinda agree.

I’m with Izzo that it’s extremely stupid and shouldn’t happen but if it’s there and your Baylor I get doing it. Louisville already did it and I am sure other teams will as well but I really hope even more coaches come out against it to try to force a change. I think Few made some statements against it as well
