That schedule of theirs next year is embarrassing. Looks like a traditional Hok schedule. He is going to Penn State. That is a smart move by Campbell. Look at Penn State's schedule next year. With a veteran QB at at the helm, their absolute floor should be 9-3. Depending on how much of their roster they retain, and what their transfer class looks like, I personally would be surprised if they arent 10-2 or better and playing in the CFP. Can't and don't blame Rocco for making that move.
You do not get a statue for 10 years of service, I'd be good with a nice plaque in the ISU history museum. CMC was great for ISU he elevated ISU football and deserves the opportunities he's earned. Again, no statue for 10 years of service.I think Campbell and Rocco were mainstays of ISU football. If Campbell takes Rocco, I hope there is never a statue of him at ISU.
Big 10 is intentionally setting up schedules like this to avoid elite regular season in-conference matchups. They'll always schedule so they get 3 teams minimum into the CFP.That schedule of theirs next year is embarrassing. Looks like a traditional Hok schedule.
He’ll get well over a million at Ped St. My guess is three times that amount. We were never going to compete with Ped St. money.Would you want to pay Rocco a million to learn a new system? He’s not good enough to shell out that kind of cash. This is a moneyball move.
He’s already started with the PSU cheering. On one recent episode of Two Guys he talked about how PSU will be his “big 10 team.”
If this becomes a thing with weekly updates, picking the PSU game weekly because Campbell is a “friend of the program” etc etc, I will quit listening. I want Cyclones news, I don’t give a **** about PSU.
What the hell are you talking about? There was no ISU player in the area. 4 mins 10 seconds. No he didnt. Go watch a reply the TE h and the ball in his hands and defensive player physically took it out of his hands.
NOT A NEW SYSTEMHe’ll get well over a million at Ped St. My guess is three times that amount. We were never going to compete with Ped St. money.
His podcast with Blum after Campbell left looked like he just got back from the morgue. It was really bizarre just for a guy taking a new job.I appreciate everything Chris has done and continues to do for this website, but this has been a big blind spot of his for several years now.
There's a difference between being friendly with the people you cover, and being besties. The latter ultimately leads to less objective coverage, intended or not. Especially on a fan site where the average fan won't ever have those relationships, and cares about/is loyal only to ISU.
Him being so hurt by Campbell/Mouser/Rocco leaving has also lead to a 'meh' tone when talking about Rogers and the new staff, compared to the previous. I don't think he's doing it on purpose, but it's been noticeable on recent podcasts. And that's not fair to Rogers when CF is the leading Cyclone fan site.
What I'll be very curious about is whether or not the coaches on the Penn State staff wear his RB NIL gear like they did when they were here.
I totally get doing it here - promote the NIL. But will Penn State allow him to be bigger than the brand there?
My wife and I had PSU season tickets from 1990 to 2010 because she was an alumnus and we lived in NJ at the time. In that era, other than Kerry Collins, PSU's biggest weakness was that they had mediocre QBs. They've had some good ones recently but Rocco is at least as good as a typical PSU QB.
I mean this as respectfully as possible, but the immediate reaction podcast where he was crying about the news did not hit me the same way as most people.I appreciate everything Chris has done and continues to do for this website, but this has been a big blind spot of his for several years now.

Sounds like there is some smoke. Won’t know how legit until January 2nd at the earliestis there a legit connection to colton Joseph? or is that wishful thinking
100% agree with this.I appreciate everything Chris has done and continues to do for this website, but this has been a big blind spot of his for several years now.
