Jimmy Rogers' staff is beginning to take shape. Washington State interim head coach and defensive coordinator Jesse Bobbit is set to join Rogers in Ames as the Cyclones’ new defensive coordinator after coaching the Cougars through their bowl game.

He could still be Co-DC. Bobbit is just top of the chain of the defense. You usually don't have 2 Co Coordinaters because someone needs to make the calls.
 
Auburns a good example they will have DC and Co DC. Same thing for the offense

I wonder how that works? Do both call plays? I think Oklahoma was one of the first to do that with Mike Stoops and Venables. Weren't Leach and Mangino co-offensive also? I'm guessing one of them actually controls most of the defense and the other just gets the fancy title to help his career and keep him on the staff.

A lot of negative piling on re: Heacock's 3 man front, me included.
Don't know where our d ranked, over his tenure, but yeah, he produced some pretty impressive stats while we moaned and groaned over, "10 +seconds to pass."
Grateful he was here.
Lotta d clones in the NFL during his tenure.

My only complaint is how limited that defense is without a pass rush threat. I can deal with the cushion he gave up for the results.

Wishing him the absolute best at HV.
Truth be told, given his age, expected retirement.
Hope he n Matt kick ass.
Not hard to figure, they chose something "bigger n better," closer to home.

Seriously. Anybody that thought Matt would be here forever?
