NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

KC doesn't need to rebuild but retool, get a good RB, a stud TE to replace Kelsey and then add depth everywhere. Clean up the roster and get rid of players that are not helping the team.

Nick Wright says a great QB should carry the team without those things.

If we end up not winning again this season we could have a top 12 pick. Have to hit on that. Theres a lot of needs I'm in favor of the surest thing at any of OL, RB, TE, or DL

They need to address Tackle and a pass rusher with their first 2 picks. End of story. And trade Chris Jones after June 1st and they save 30million next year.

Nobody is trading for Chris Jones and his salary. They need to trade Mcduffie and/or Rice if anyone.

Sign RB Hall
Sign WR Thornton

Draft DE,DT, TE with first 3 rounds.

Add another RB in the fourth round.

Somebody will trade for Jones. They aren't gonna pay $$$ for a RB either. They my draft one no sooner than round 3 though.

Mahomes has been carrying the Chiefs for the past couple of years. Give him the weapons that Burrows, Purdy or Jackson has and watch him keep winning super bowls. He is doing it without those players. Would the Eagles been a better team last year with Hurts or Mahomones?

Simmons and Moore will be fine at tackle, cut Taylor if you can make the money work. You are not going to be able to move Jones and if you could who are your replacing him with? Someone in the draft, but we need more than a D tackle in this draft. I have stated all season, the RBs are not good enough, we need a serious upgrade there on the roster, and this could be the year you draft Love out of ND if he is there, gets you 5 cheap years before you have to pay him big money. We need another rush end, more speed at LBer and depth on the back end of the defense. Throw in a TE would also be nice.

My draft wish list

1st round, if Love is there, you grab. him, if not you are taking the best DE, DT or TE on the board, this player has to be able to help you next season big time. KC will have Lott returning so that should help next season.

2nd round you pick the best player left from the position you did not fill with the first pick.

3rd round, the same, you pick the best player in a position not filled in rounds 1 and 2.

No fourth round pick.

5, 6 and 7 you are looking for depth, you have filled the RB, TE, DE or DT position, you now looking to add a young LB, corner and depth along both lines. If there is a player there after our choice in the 1st round that you think will help, dangle your 1st round pick in the draft next season to get him, but keep your 2nd round pick Thinking next year instead of drafting in the middle of the draft, you will be back to 31 or 32 again.

If we take another RB in the first round I’ll lose it. I might even write a sternly worded letter.

ESPN is now reporting that Mahomes tore his ACL, they do not know the extent of the injury until the swelling goes down and they can get a better scan.

You are only taking Love if he is there, otherwise you are passing and going to another area of need. I read a draft article the other day in the Athletic and scouts are saying if Love played another position he would be in the top five picks of the draft, but his position will push him down into the middle of the round. He was the only RB given a first round grade.

There is no chance this front office drafts a running back and gives him first round money. They aren't interested in paying veteran running backs either and I don't blame them. I like their model of only giving long term expensive contracts QBs, offensive lineman, and dominant defensive tackles. Thats pretty much what the better franchises do these days. Except for those things keep your team super young.
