Report: YouTube TV to offer sports-only package at cheaper rate in 2026

YouTube TV will debut a new sports-only subscription plan that will be cheaper than its current $82 per month pricing, per Andrew Marchand.

I'd drop for 5 bucks, kids don't get a lot of screen time and have Netflix/Disney already.

Youtube TV has to compete with FUBO TV now. FUBO is owned by Disney. FUBO looking to take some of that Youtube TV market share. I am guessing it will match FUBO at $55 per month sports only.

I was paying 103 for hulu live bundle with no ads. And they increase their price every year it seems. Getting sick of that BS.

Looks like it will include major broadcast channels. As long as it has my local channels and all the sports networks I need, I'll have no problem dropping my current package and paying for this cheaper option. I pretty much never watch other "cable TV" channels.

If they cut $30 or $40 out of it I'd probably go subscribe to HBO Max or whatever they're calling it these days. I watch sports, my local 10PM news and between my wife and I some of the discovery channel and HGTV trash reality shows. Don't watch anything else really.

Yeah, I am in this camp as well. If it has my locals and the sport networks I would drop for whatever savings they offer, whether it is 5 or 50. Nobody in my household watches anything else on YTTV. Those other 80ish channels are literally worthless to us.

If they can cut those prices down to around what StreamEast charges, I might consider subscribing.

YouTubeTV is getting close to pricing itself out of range for an ever more expensive world. Plus, how many subscribers are there only for a particular sports season or two and then cut service during the off-season for several months? ESPN Unlimited is $39...so they'll have to be around $50-$500 like someone said with FUBO...but they do have to compete with ESPN Unlimited...so I'd hope they're around $45. That's also a price where people would keep their subscription year round.

I’d drop if it was .50. Just don’t need anything else from YTTV.
