You saying Big Rob is overpaid?I don't know what an executive special teams quality control analyst does, but I feel like Robert Grande was paid roughly $120,000 too much.
Well he was getting paid $240k but they have to fine him $10k every game his unit screws up.I don't know what an executive special teams quality control analyst does, but I feel like Robert Grande was paid roughly $120,000 too much.
This guy must’ve worked with a friend of mine Bill O’Boyle. Bill was on staff as OL coach until Deon got there and then left for Northwestern.Olson was grad assistant here and also has had a stint coaching with CJR at SDSU, Meadows played with him as a player at SDSU.

Roehl could also be OC/RB and if Chris Meyers follows from WSU could stay as TE/recruiting coordinator.Just for my own brain, trying to sort out what I think people are speculating in this thread.
OC/TE's - Roehl
QB's - Kempt
WR's - OPEN
RB's - OPEN
OL - Olson (Northwestern) OR Meadows (Northern Illinois)
I am very skeptical of the Kempt thing. I haven’t seen that anywhere but this thread. The OL thing definitely is confusing unless one is like the assistant OL coach or somethingJust for my own brain, trying to sort out what I think people are speculating in this thread.

May help hold some players. Especially the QBs.I seen it on 247 forum, but no clue on accuracy
Wonder if it’s worth looking into Zach Lujan coming to Ames. Was QB at SDSU when Rogers was DC, then moved to offensive staff. Went to Northwestern after Rogers’ first year.
Is currently OC/QB coach. Unsure what pay looks like.
Think there’s some guys on that Northwestern roster that could be really good and would have interest playing for CJR
That is what it sounds like by the way he was talking that he will bring his Defensive coaches with him. I could see him trying to keep some of the ISU coaches on offense. Since he is a defensive coach he wants his style of defensive and that is putting pressure on the QB. If he wants to keep a bunch of the players on offensive try and keep the coaches on the side of the ball.I'd love for a former Cyclone like Broomfield remain a Clone. But coaches like coaches who they know and have experience in their system. Campbell is a prime example of that. Other than a few external hires in the last few years, he tended to promote within.
Rogers history is as a defensive coach, so it doesn't surprise of media reports he is bringing most of his defensive staff from WSU who were also on his staff at SDSU.
Isn’t he one guy he talked about in his presser, not as a coach, but someone he got from Iowa?Wonder if it’s worth looking into Zach Lujan coming to Ames. Was QB at SDSU when Rogers was DC, then moved to offensive staff. Went to Northwestern after Rogers’ first year.

Just heard a rumor about OC. Sounded plausible. Not Mouser but someone who was here before who had OC experience and a good pedigree.

I'm kinda hoping for all new offensive coaches. Kempt as QB coach would be cool though. If Rogers likes a power run first offense, maybe that improves our chances to keep Hanson and some of the TEs.That is what it sounds like by the way he was talking that he will bring his Defensive coaches with him. I mean UNIs OC came here to be a OLine coach last year? or two years? I looked at that time and our position coaches were making more than the UNI head coach was making.I would wager drake probably plays less than other FCS programs since they are non scholarship. So maybe at Drake you’d probably make less as an OC than a P4 position coach.
It wasn’t too long ago that North Dakota state lost their head coach to become a position coach/AHC at USC.
Not according to what has been said, in news conferences, and from CW etc. It opens on Jan 2nd just like everyone else. The portal at ISU fully opens December 13th though, if I understand their rules on coaches leaving that were reported here.
