Rogers first meeting with the team

Hearing on FB they had a defense meeting then an offense meeting. Is this legit?

If true, might explain why we don’t see RB

I also saw that Rocco's mom liked it on Instagram if that means anything.
I know he’s probably gone, but Rocco has a chance to re-write the ISU record books next year if he stays. That’s got to mean something. He’s also from a financially secure family, so he would have the privilege of going for that.

Someone on here also said that his dad was pissed at JP, so no idea if there’s any truth to that either. If that’s real, he may be going somewhere else regardless

And this is why the hire was so quick, so Rogers could meet with the players before they all bolted. I also believe CMC informed ISU and gave them time to have a new guy in place before announcing publically. I had pretty solid Intel that cmc to PSU was happening for sure on Thursday. Hopefully many players will stay to build the next chapter.
Transfer portal opens 5 days following a head coach departure once official. I don’t think that officially starts until Penn State’s board approves Campbell’s hiring tomorrow, but I could be wrong.

Big credit to Pollard for making the hire quickly, but I still don’t know if it needed to be announced in the same team meeting as Campbell announcing he is leaving.

This situation is surely way, way more difficult for the players than for us. A coach you loved and signed up to play for makes the decision to leave (though being done for more personal reasons probably softens that blow). You lose a lot of staff members you've developed strong relationships with too. And now you have to decide whether you want to uproot and go with him or to somewhere else, and have to wait to find out if you're even wanted there, or here for that matter.

Having the new head coach here through that time period at least takes some of the uncertainty out of it

Rocco is going to take the advice of his dad. His dad is a former first round nfl draft pick, a pro coach(semi pro? Is the UFL considered pro?), and a highly intelligent guy. He’s going to give him the best advice about staying or leaving. My guess is he stays based on his father’s advice because it will be the best for him. We will see in the coming days though.

They better be there at least as a courtesy. There is no guarantee that the ones who think will be brought to PSU will actually be invited.
Their world has been shook in the last few days....but I too think after a few days they would have the respect and class to understand any anger/frustration shouldn't be directed at Rogers.

What we all know is these young men have shown what great young men they are over the last few years. I respect them all doing what is best for them.

I believe we just need one or 2 of the true "leaders" to say they are staying and others will follow. I would love to start next season and actually not need the program to know who most of the starters are.
Absolutely. If, say, Rocco and Coop were to stay, that would be a permission structure for a lot more guys to stick around. That said, I’d be moderately surprised if they do, and I won’t fault them for leaving.
