Is there some reason everyone is suggesting Candle? Is there any connection other than he’s done alright at Toledo and that’s where Campbell is from?

Somebody from that area popped in and said he was a main candidate.

I could see Mouser being the interim head coach if Heacock wants to retire after the bowl game. Gives them more time to interview if need be.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm not making my next coaching hire based off of if they can keep 1 year of Becht & Hansen. Yes next year could be rough but this hire should be based off what they can do the next 3-5 years not just 2026.

Haha, very true.

I do like me some Deon Broomfield. Not for HC yet, but I hope he stays or has a spot on the new staff. I also really like Hank Poteat fwiw. Don't expect any of the staff without ties to stay though.
