Yeah but they stuck with Franklin and they stuck with Bill Obrien until he went to the NFL. So they have shown they keep coaches. Even when they are Pedo's

Stuck with bill o Brien? He was there for two years and their fans wanted him gone.

Also early Franklin years, the landscape was completely different in college football.

He got fired half way thru a season where the previous three seasons won 34 games.

I want to be the same, but it really doesn't matter to me how Campbell does at Pedo State. He's likely taking Rocco, Bacon, Brahmer, Eskildsen, and a few of our other best players and turning us into a garbage program again. We are about to become really, really, really bad. Depending on our next hire, we'll see how long it takes to recover. Since Campbell doesn't care about Iowa State anymore, why should we care about Campbell now that he's gone?
lol, Bacon?? So he’s going to get married during the summer and leave his wife at ISU and go to PSU. The talent that PSU gets at backer he’d be special teams also.

People aren’t thinking things rationally. PSU has a lot more talent than we do.

I don't see Campbell taking anyone. Doesn't seem like that guy!

I worry more about other people coming in. Iowa could take some of our IOWA guys, and Nebraska might come after some of the Nebraska kids. Things like that, Missouri and Oklahoma could hurt us with some of the recruits.

Jesus, we have stupid fans. Of course he is going to take players. I don't even blame him. He'll take anyone good.

They lost/are losing a bunch of guys to Virginia Tech

I actually think he will have a fairly long leash at Penn State. Looking at their 2026 schedule it’s pretty weak. Could go 11- or 10-2 easily.

Absolute patty cake schedule

Not sure why Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri would be interested in them now when they didn't offer before?

Bacon would be one I think we keep.

They signed two kids in this class. Lots of roster room and money to supplement what they do have. Hope we don’t lose our top seniors to big Happy Valley NIL contracts.

Another thing jumped to mind. If he takes this deal in the interest of fairness should he be allowed to coach the bowl game??

Jesus. No. And also he wouldn't want to.

If Heacock does hang it up (and Matt doesn't convince him to go to Penn State) give him the interim job.

I don't think Campbell completely raids our roster but I'd guess Rocco is 99% gone. What loyalty does he have to Iowa State at this point? Rocco either...

1.) Follows Matt to Penn State
2.) Goes to the highest bidder to ensure he is set up financially for life.

He won’t take lots of players. Penn state will want to empty the portal
Does Nittany Lions football have a GM for player acquisition and NIL? If I were Matt and moving on to a big job I would want one so that was much less of my day to day.
