It’s been a fantastic couple years as a Cyclone fan. The wrestling results today are just the icing on the cake, in my opinion. But it does peak my curiosity. Over the last two years what are the most memorable moments or your favorite moments of Cyclone Athletics?

The final drive of the mid Florida game is the first one that comes to mind for me

I hate that it’s about the Hawks, but I think it’s the drive last year to beat them at Kinnick. The pass to Noel and then the 54 yarder by Konrardy. I was stunned we pulled that off.

Agreed. Outside of that:

Seeing the win over KSU in person over in Dublin was an all time experience.

Beating Miami in the bowl game.

MBB beating Wazzu to get back to the S16.

UCF and K State football last year for me.

UCF last minute drive and the 2PC followed by singing my heart out to Mr. Brightside with the family to move to 7-0 will be one of those “never forget” memories for me.

And the whole day of the Kansas State game was awesome, from what I remember. Ridiculously cold. Went to the Wartburg playoff game that day with my brothers to watch my other brother coach. Got pretty drunk before and during that game. Then we high tailed it down to Ames and watched ISU get to 10 wins for the first time in school history

A bit of an older perspective.

Luther Blue returning a kickoff for a TD against Nub in '76,...I was there.

Dave Osenbaugh pinning Lou Banach(eiu) to win the match in 1981,....I was there.

B^)

MuskieCy.
I was at that game as well. 6th grade???
Unforgettable...but today's wrestling win over Iowa?
More of a "mindwreck," imho.
As well, the title of this thread pertained to 2024-25.

Beating Miami in the Pop-Tarts Bowl

Hearing "ISU FB has never had a 10 win season" was getting especially old because we won 9 in a shortened Covid season where we beat Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl and had the normal # of games been played, they easily could've gotten 10 that year...

So, when we hit the 10 win mark and then notched win #11 as well, that was just a wonderful icing on the cake. And winning against a very good Miami team, a name brand program, was special.

Trip to Ireland for me. Took several family members and did extended trips to London and Paris. Had a blast, but it was a very, very expensive trip. Still would have enjoyed it, but pulling off the victory as the underdog was a huge combination of joy and relief.

UCF and KState last year were pretty amazing. The Jack was just electric for both of those. Also, my daughter was with me for both of them. She's been to plenty of games before, but seeing her get her first taste of what makes college sports so special, was awesome to see. She's talked multiple times since about how awesome it was. Running out onto the field after beating the Cats is going to be a core memory for her.

Also Dublin, this past August, was just incredible. The game was great. Absolutely beautiful stadium. Great crowd energy. Everyone was just having a good time. But outside of the game, the atmosphere around town was truly special. Dublin rolled out the red carpet, in a way that I hadn't been expecting. So welcoming. Made for an unforgettable experience, that I doubt I'll ever have again.

K-State last year was awesome. It's hard to put into words, but that communal experience of everyone freezing their ***** off and being in miserable weather but packing the place because that's what fans do is everything sports is about. You were proud of the team but you were proud as a fan as well, if that makes any sense.

It’s been a really fun couple of years. Hands down my favorite was the Poptarts Bowl. I had a bad attitude going in, but my sister and I were encouraged to go with my Dad who has Parkinson’s and you just don’t know how many more trips he had left. We lucked into staying at the team hotel, which is always fun (I always recommend this instead of a cheaper place). The game was amazing. The trip was fantastic. And the whole thing was a memory that I’ll hold close to my heart forever.

Other highlights include the Kansas State football game last year. And the Iowa football game this year.

Basketball was super fun but nothing really beat those football games for me. (If we would have pulled off that BYU game at Hilton that would be in the top!) But another couple of siblings got to go with my Dad to Milwaukee and had almost as much fun as we had in Orlando.

We really are living our best lives right now as fans. I’m very thankful.

We are clearly living in the best of times. 24-25 sports seasons have been amazing as a lifelong ISU fan. In football, the 11-win season, beating Miami, and playing again in the conference championship game was awesome and something I didn't expect to see in my lifetime. Going to Ireland and beating KSU was stunning.

Damn shame our men's and women's bb teams suck, plus our wrestling program!

Good god...if you aren't in Cyclone heaven.....
