I couldn't care less about the tournament or the format. 200K or 400K or even an extra million would be great for the kids but anyone that thinks something is going to be setup that gives ISU a fair shake of getting that versus the hoity toity programs is naive. Watch the body language of ISU versus SJU and Creighton walking off the court and tell me who owns this fooking tournament.

We knew the rules, or at least should have. We knew that two other teams had already hit the max point differential and we held the ball. We screwed ourselves. Yeah it's a stupid format but there is no one to blame here but us.
I don't have a definitive source, but that's what I always heard. The Ken Pom rankings use data from the prior year to start the season, which is why the Houston's and Purdue's and Duke's were right at the top right away. It slowly fades away, and my recollection (again no source), is that the data is clean and just using this year's data by early late December / early January.
Syracuse has certainly looked better than Creighton this week.
Yes, people pay too much attention to them this early. Especially in the modern era of changing rosters.
I would guess there may be enough talking heads ******** about this format to maybe get it changed. I won’t hold my breath

All I wanted out of this tournament was to see how this Iowa State squad stacks up against NCAA tournament caliber teams. The extra money would be nice, but this week is still a success even without the extra cash

We need Toure to replicate his game vs Creighton, or someone else to put up some numbers. Perhaps Jefferson and Milan have big games again.
