Sciatica pain

Man, you are the biggest douche on this board.

Not even sure why you’re here. You just like to hear yourself talk. You argue with everyone thinking you’re the smartest in the room. You’re not.

Hope the OP is feeling better.

Sciatica is a tough case. Seen a bunch of it. I’ve helped a lot of people with it and some I have not so I’ll refer out. The ones I can’t are typically dealing with a ton of degeneration.

The one common denominator is you can’t sit on your butt all day.

I can assure you I’ve dealt with more sciatica than ******* sparty has.
The OP can be helped by Chiro.

The right ones as this is a severe disc issue involving Extrusion and two levels up a protrusion.

Both can be managed without surgery and by Chiro that provides disc decompression. Also Cox Flexion-Distraction is a specific Chiro technique that does NOT involve an “adjustment” but exactly what it says. Flexes the lumbar spine and distracts to remove pressure of the disc axially and posterior, where the disc bulges, protrusions, and Extrusions occurs.

All backed by science.

If I were @CycloneRulzzz , I would explore all non-invasive/ conservative options available.

Ahhh found the chiro.

Love that you had to not only call me a douche on here but private message me saying the same thing.

What made you want to pursue pseudo science? Didn’t have the grades to go to PT school or just thought it was easier then practicing real medicine?

Calling me ignorant for calling out the quackery that is chiropractic “care” says far more about you then it does about me my man.

But go ahead if you want to go to defend yhe field that was started by a guy who received the idea for Chiro from a ghost in a serious of spiritual visions go ahead.

I’ll keep practicing science based medicine and actually helping people.
I didn’t call you ignorant.

I said your statements are ignorant, and they are.

This isn’t the 1800’s brother.

They really aren’t. There is zero need to see a chiropractor. Just see an actual physical therapist. His condition due to underlying factors needs to be handled by actual medical professionals not someone who is a more dangerous massage therapist

You are certainly uneducated or seriously uninformed on this matter.

I’m really not. I have no idea why you are putting so much faith in chiros, but those of us who practice actual medicine know how bad the vast majority of them are. I’m sure there are some ones that are fine and stay within their extremely limited scope but there is zero reason to just not go to a PT.

You defending them doesn’t really surprise me, as in more rural area and in places with limited medical services chiros thrive. But again if you have an actual real condition like the OP see a real medical professional with a medical team supporting them.

I know I’m never gonna convince you and you’re never gonna convince me on this. Out of curiosity are you a chiropractor also?

LMFAO

As a Sparty fan, your “practicing medicine” must mean you’re a Medical Assistant from a technical college that wipes asses for a living.

EM Physician actually, also noticed you didn’t answer the question on if you are a chiropractor or not…

Like I said we can agree to disagree here and move on, you know my bias (even if it’s backed by reality) as a physician so just wondering where your chiro bias comes from.

When I laughed my ass off at you I answered your question.

Also, as an EM physician, I appreciate your grind but you have Zero clue as to this thread and the OP issues.

Keep dealing with gunshot wounds and drug overdoses in the Michigan ER.

Didn’t realize that LMFAO was answering and also notice you still haven’t answered how you think you know better.

But thanks for the appreciation.

I hate that this has turned into a pissing match.

I just going to do separate pm's with the few that have been giving me helpful ideas.

I don't like that this also has turned into a chiro bashing session. Some probably are bad but I love and trust the one I go to so I hate seeing all the chiro bashing.

Wait you have been seeing a chiropractor the whole time? No wonder your condition keeps getting worse.

Your pain is at an 11/10, ditch the quacks and follow through with the specialists to get some actual help. I didn’t realize you were already seeing a chiropractor regularly but they clearly aren’t helping with your situation getting worse and worse.

This is why I hate chiros, people go to them instead of real medical professionals and only turn to the actual medical system when it has failed and their situation is in dire straits. Then they are shocked we don’t have a great fix after wasting treatment time and money with a chiro

Jesus Christ give it a rest. I’ve never been to a chiropractor, but if it makes you feel better than why the **** not? The people complaining that you have to continue to go back really amuses me. Do those same people ***** about having to go back to the dentist every sixth months? Same with going to massage therapists? Like I said I’ve never been, but it seems like maintenance to me, and maintenance is always ongoing.

@CycloneRulzzz Do what you feel is best for your own wellbeing , because in the end how you approach this will affect how you live the rest of your life. I’ve heard many surgeons actually recommend anything including chiropractic care prior to getting surgery, because surgery is always a last resort.

This is an excellent post and @CycloneRulzzz is not at the Maintenance care point.

A few on here are clueless to how to alleviate the situation

I am sorry to be a part of escalating this thread, because our Cyclone brother is hurting.

Go Cyclones!

Can only tell you my experience with extreme Sciatica 10 to 12 years ago due to a herniated lowest disc. Had a first cortisone injection in lower back at a specialist in Plymouth MN back then. Was told we could try this 3 times or so. The first shot did not relieve the pain. Some time had past and tried a second injection. Not only did it get better, I have had zero problems since. No pain and no problem lifting anything.

Have back issues as well, tho not to your extent, thankfully.
You mentioned that you weigh 380 pounds.
Man amigo, that's the primary problem, yet no one here has addressed this.
If you have an underlying "weight condition/issue," that I'm unaware of, my SINCEREST APOLOGIES!

Have a friend who is 5'8" or so.
Was around 370 (now 220-ish).
Had "that procedure" in which his stomach was "shrunk." (forgive my lack of proper medical terminology).
The Vast majority of his Numerous health issues, waaaay beyond back issue's, have mostly dissappeared.

You are in my thoughts.

Glad to see that the thread is back to actual concern for Rulzzz. Please, if there ever was a thread not to derail, it is this one.

I was only half-joking earlier when I said that you should be seen by the docs who work on the Cyclones. Dr. Greenwald was recognized Saturday at the football game. Have you looked into seeing him (or one of his colleagues)?
