*** 2025 College Football Playoff Rankings ***

Side note, who is the G5 representative if none of them are ranked? How do they determine?

Side note, it might not be a terrible thing for the Big 12 if Oregon loses at Iowa.

It’s not going to be fun seeing Iowa at 10-2 and in the playoff though
They’re going to lose at USC. I hope they lose every game. Just saying it might not be terrible for the Big 12 if they happen to pull an Iowa and beat an Oregon team that might be low key meh.

It doesn't matter because they'll play each other but Indiana should be ranked #1

Notre Dame is this year's Boise St where the best part of their resume is who they lost to. Think they should be about 5 spots lower.

ACC is a one bid league regardless of what happens.

I clowned ATM in the preseason since they have a super overrated history but so far I whiffed on that.

I think the only way ACC can get 2 bids is for GT to win out (including a win over GA) and then have GT lose the CCG. If that happens, I think an 11-2 GT would get an at-large bid.

This is great news for the Big 12. Utah sitting there at #13 already makes it more likely than not the Big 12 gets more than one team in.
Disagree. Loser of byu/tech will drop out of top 12, uu will stick around there, but they wont jump sec teams (ou, ut of all effing people) above them.

There's 6 sec in the top 12, and only the top 11 will get in. And maybe top 10 if the acc champ ends up w 2 losses somehow.

G5, ND, Acc, B12, 5 sec and 3 B1G.

Unless ND, ut, ou all crap the bed, b12 is 1 bid league.

OU has to go to Bama, and Texas still has games against Georgia and Texas A&M.

I didn’t see the rankings show, but the Cover 3 guys said that Reece Davis said the committee ranks teams until they get a G5 team. They just only release the top 25.

The guidelines simply say “the five highest-ranked conference champions,” so after the SEC/B1G/ACC/Big XII champions, it’s whoever gets the best ranking after winning any other conference. And I’m sure they have rankings past number 25 if they need to do that for the AAC/Sun Belt/CUSA/MAC/Mountain West/Ivy League/MVC/etc/etc :)

(And yes, I know those first four don’t get an automatic bid, I remember the scare tactics from last year where they thought both Boise State and Tulane would end up ranked above the Big XII champion to keep the Big XII out of the CFP …)
