What is your favorite costume you or (if relevant) your child has ever worn? What is your favorite costume you have ever seen?

Ten years ago Halloween fell on a home ISU game, and I saw a Wolverine tailgating and eating a bratwurst speared through by one of his adamantium claws. That felt right.

When my son was younger I used to take him trick or treating and I would dress up with him:
  • Mario and Luigi
  • Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker
  • Gru and a Minion

#1 son was young Anakin when he was abt 5, right when TPM came out. Homemade jedi costume my mom made, super detailed all the different layers. He had the short blonde hair at that time so that matched too. It was a great costume, and he was cute af too. Have a pic somewhere (developed film!) and it is a treasured item.

I shave my head, so I went to a company Halloween party as a member of the Blue Man Group. Won some money for best costume

I don't remember who you are talking about

Probably my best as adult were at (former) workplace Halloween costume contest, a few years ago. One, I was Eleven from "Stranger Things." The following year I was Wicked Witch of the West.

I think some pictures exist of the ST, don't know if I have them saved.

Both were the idea of my spousal co-worker. (We were following same theme for it)

Local bank ran costume contest for Homecoming, and now they're at it again.

Definitely want these emus to win.

I went as Austin Powers wearing British flag underwear......out in public, to multiple bars. Also had a wig, chest hair wig, and glasses. I was younger, skinnier, and more care free.

I made a generic costume. I went to one of those places where they custom made t-shirts and sweatshirts. (This was around 1990.) I bought a plain white sweatshirt and then put COSTUME on the front in black block lettering.

For my son, when he was nine, he wanted to go as himself. So I took a life size picture of his face and glued it over a blank mask i got from Michael's. He got a lot of great reactions from people when he went trick-or-treating. People would ask who he was supposed to be. He'd say "I'm going as myself." Then he'd take off the mask to reveal the same face underneath.
