Arizona State Pregame Thread

They were getting beat badly and then one play woke them up last night and they almost pulled it off.

Houston's also solid.

ASU's receivers are athletic and should have a big day.
Really puzzling they weren't ready to play at home against a pretty decent opponent.

they will be missing a key DB in the first half after a targeting call so maybe we can get up enough unless Rocco just throws the ball to them down in the red zone :p
Don't you wonder if there is something wrong with Rocco? It's not like him to see an opponent standing near the sideline all alone and think, "Hey, my guy is wide open!" I really think that targeting from about 3 weeks ago did a number on him.

Maybe Becht is more the QB we saw the last 2 years and less the QB we saw the first few weeks of the season?

Despite all the gloom and doom that’s been rightfully earned, the team can win some ballgames if they do a complete 180 from what we saw during the last 32 minutes yesterday.

Only thing I can think on that play is QB and WR weren't on the same page. Could have been different reads, or the WR missed a pre-snap signal from Rocco.

The last three weeks we've managed to play about 5% worse than our opponent regardless of how good that opponent is. The first 5 weeks, we played 5% better.

KSU, Iowa, ArkSt - 5% better consistently
SDSU - much better all game
UA - looked much better all game, but had late injuries
Cincy - bipolar, 30% worse 1st half 25% better 2nd half
CU - 5% worse consistently
BYU - bipolar, 30% better 1st half, 25% worse 2nd half
