Guess it's time to do one of these threads for the new season. Got reminded when I saw the tweet below and see Kylie Feuerbach is one of the Hawk seniors going to media day.. She's one of the last five-year players with a medical redshirt (ACL) and the COVID no-count'em season. And, obviously, the last player left in NCAA from our 2020 class.

Technically Zingaro also falls in that category. There's a big asterisk on that since she was only in our 2020 class because she enrolled early. She left the team prior to playing in the 23-24 season so she was able to redshirt that year.

In addition to Feuerbach...

Texas Tech has Bristow (jr) and Fritz (sr).
Cleveland State has Zingaro (sr) -- transferred from Montana
Dayton has Dawkins (sr).
Villanova has Kelsey Joens (jr).
Green Bay has Hansford (sr).

Additionally, I see Aubrey is a grad assistant at Indiana

Thanks, I was too lazy to put together a list.

Good catch on Joens being an assistant at Indiana. With their restaurant closed I guess we will be missing any insider updates on the Joens gals.

Nice to see Aubrey continuing the dream. She def has the brains to be a coach. Looking forward to seeing how these ladies do this year. I'm a bit intrigued to see if Hansford emerges from the season long funk she was in last year.

having trouble placing Dawkins

Pros in the same thread or a new one?

Took some digging to see how Ashley did in her new teams official first game. Looks like she had 5 pts and 5 boards in just under 18 minutes. Flammes Carolo.

Watched an interview with the Villanova coach about the upcoming season, early on the mention their two transfers Joens and a gal from Notre Dame. Said they were going to talk about both, but never came back to Joens. Was hoping to grab some insight into her perceived role on their team for this season.

Kelsey Joens started for Villanova in a 79-54 exhibition W over Towson on Friday, 10/24. She played 20 minutes with 5 points, 7 rebounds and a steal.

When listening to the preview interview it became apparent who the engine was that would drive Villanova. Bascoe had 32 points.

LH came off the bench and played 17 minutes in UWGB's exhibition W vs UW Platteville on 10/18:

=====

Coach Kayla Karius had this to say about LH in a GB Post Gazette preseason article dated 10/24/25:

Lily Hansford, sr., 6-2
Local high school basketball fans remember the guard from her days at Appleton East and Ashwaubenon.

Hansford spent her first two collegiate seasons at Oregon State before transferring to Iowa State last year.

She is known for her 3-point shooting, including shooting 44.9% during her sophomore season at Oregon State.

“Lily is exciting to us at 6-2, but came in as more of a specialty-type player,” Karius said. “She really has one very, very strong attribute, and that’s shooting the 3. But this program really encourages and develops players into doing more than one thing. She had to learn how to score around the rim, how to take people off the dribble, how to defend.

“A lot of it was out of her comfort zone. It’s not what the prior programs needed from her. We need more from her, and she has responded every time we have challenged her. I’m excited to see her progress throughout the year, because she has already grown so much.”

She saw the court in 22 games at ISU, though she only averaged five minutes. She helped out the team GPA…
Last year she was a starter at the beginning of the season and that faded quickly, as did her minutes, as the season progressed.

1st exhibition, a romp by Green Bay, Hansford went 1-5 from the field (1-4 from deep) in 17 minutes.

Thought I’d provide a summary of where former ISU players are now as a supplement to the stand-alone thread that will track season progress.
