The defense has to be better than last year if we want meaningful improvement and a chance at the Big 12 title.

Your question about disruption hits this right on the head. Last year and the past few we’ve not really had more than one good defender on the team.

Now we potentially have a few sticky defenders AJ, Paulk and people with speed to switch Hare, Williams. So you are right we have the players… will the staff use them in that way?

My question would about Harris. She said she want 6th man of the year in the Big 12. What does she need to do to achieve that?

I would say she needs to come in and break scoring lulls herself. Requires good shooting and good positioning. Can she do it?

First I hope the coaching staff lets the players use all the skill they have and play freely. My hope is that the players play up to what it looks like on paper/former playing time. Last year many did not do that, some due to being hurt and some just did not perform. We have a team that if they do what they are capable of on the court can go a long way.

It seems we’ve added more team speed in the transfers and incoming freshmen. I hope that shows up in our style of play. I am also wanting to see how Crooks has evolved. I’m assuming stronger. Better free throws. Apparently she has expanded her shooting repertoire. Now if increased strength includes the ability to get off the ground even a little bit…even if this remains the same I wouldn’t call having an All-American and preseason player of the year a “limitation.”
