MLB: ***2026 Minnesota Twins***

Lee, Keaschall, Buc & Clemons are keepers. Flush the rest of the everyday players.
Lewis, Larnach, Wallner and Jeffers maybe too.
Although Jeffers power seems to be MIA and Wallner needs to hit better than .200 and move to 1st base.
Ok maybe just Lewis and Larnach. Lol!

Maybe Lewis will come back around. I think your 3rd baseman needs to drive in way more runs than he has. I agree with Larnach too.

Here’s what they should do next year IMO. This wouldn’t even be that expensive.

Catcher - Jeffers and Pereda or a cheap FA
1B - Free agent and Kody Clemens platoon
2B - Keashall
SS - Brooks Lee
3B - Royce Lewis
LF - Austin Martin / Walker Jenkins platoon
CF - Buxton with Outman or Roden as insurance
RF - Free agent
DH - Wallner.

This involves dumping Larnach and picking up a free agent 1B who’s right handed and a free agent Right Fielder, preferably right handed. They need some more power.

The only weakness might be needing a backup SS. Pitching is another topic. What are your thoughts?

It doesn’t matter if they have no pen

Twins are not going to survive the Pohlads.

The earth will be so salted by the time they sell, or MLB confiscates a la McCourt and the Dodgers that a move is going to be inevitable with the next owner.

I'm not a huge MLB fan but the Twin Cities with out a baseball team would be sad.

Next year's payroll is shaping up to be almost 10 million. :jimlad:

Don’t know how cheap Larnach would be, but I’d give him a chance over Outman. Bring up Culpepper as the backup SS. Biggest need is a real 1B free agent, and of course, they need a entire FA bullpen. Still hoping for the ‘surprise’ sale in Febuary.

The coaching staff all need to go too.
While possibly true, any change of the people you see on TV isn’t going to fix what is the main problem. The whole organization isn’t set up for success and if I’m a potential manager, I stay the heck away from the sinking ship that is Minnesota baseball. It’s beyond sad.

I was there for one of the two games yesterday, the earlier one. Glad the ticket was free and we did the tour, otherwise that was a pretty pathetic display by the team and waste of money for anyone who paid to go.

My condolences. It was brutal. Remember when we laughed at the White Sox?

Royce Lewis’ comments that he doesn’t know if he’ll be on the team next year (Twins would have to trade him) just tells you how bad this management team is. Don’t understand how the Pohlads think this type of publicity adds to the team’s value. $1.7 billion looks more and more insurmountable everyday.

The Twins’ offensive production has improved by about a quarter-run per game since Baldelli told his players on Aug. 18 to start running the bases more aggressively. They have been the best base running team in the majors by a wide margin in that stretch.

OK, so the question becomes did he not do that prior because the players traded were not capable and/or was he forced by circumstances after the trades into doing that? Admittedly, the Twins has been poor at drafting what I would consider athletic players; those Buxton-esc types who can hit and run, until the past couple of years.

I thought the Timberwolves had poor ownership/management for 30 or so years, but the Pohlad's are giving them a run for their money.

Been a lifelong Twins fan, but I will refuse to attend, watch, or listen to any game as long as the Pohlad's are owners
