Even when your 3+ touchdown favorites and supposedly a playoff team? Barely squeaking by against a sunbelt team that just got blown out by Arkansas? Yes, a win can still be embarrassing. If you don’t think this will be used against us come December you will be sorely mistaken.

Have you considered that after they got worked by Arkansas they worked to correct some things for this game? Especially after getting pounded in Ames last year?

If this win is used against ISU in December for something then ISU must have had a heck of a season.

Is it really that surprising? We have played two rivals in the span of three weeks (one overseas). A letdown was very predictable. Just be glad we won because ISU has lost these games in the past.

It was a good win vs a coach like Butch Jones that isn’t as predictable as Kirk.

Butch knows when to go for it on 4th down.

Kirk , not so much.

It makes going undefeated a necessity. If we lose to TCU and still make the championship and lose this performance will eliminate us. If we took care of business the chances improve. It’s unfortunate but true. Big 12 isn’t viewed well nationally and today definitely didn’t help.

It was a necessity anyway.

And guess what? That's probably not going to happen. ISU is pretty good but is likely going to drop a game here and there.

If we do end up having a great year. I don’t think it will matter to a committee or whoever that we only won by 8 instead of 21. Was hot as hell and it probably hard to get up/focused as much traveling to Ark St, it’s human nature. Team will hopefully move on and get better and hopefully heal up coming out of the bye

I'll focus on the positive in this post. Townsend 3 catches 92 yards was huge. Tre Bell had a big game. Hanson and Sama were good too. Rocco still clutch when it matters.

Are you serious? Listen to any talk radio or read anything. Listen to Chris Williams we are in the mix. Nobody knows who is a playoff team for sure, but we are in the conversation as of now

I’m fine with this, but if you give the Opposition any fire power against you, they will magnify it 10 fold.

I know you love heard the narrative from CFP committees and March Madness committees.

They pull data from where they want to pull data. Whatever fits their narrative and their objective.

The Big 12 champion is going to the playoffs. ISU is presently the highest rated Big 12 team. So, it seems reasonable to suggest that ISU is in the present playoff banter, such as it is. Not sure why you are arguing about this.
