Interesting Paniro over Jacob. That should be a really fun wrestle off!

I should also note that the teams ranked ahead of Iowa State are Penn State and Nebraska. Iowa is currently ranked 4th. When was the last time Iowa State was ranked ahead of Iowa going into a season?
Dresser working nonstop to put together one of the best teams in the Nation. We've had some ups and downs, but he keeps moving forward and this year should be special!

133 - 165 are all going to be interesting. A lot of really, really good depth there. If E Frost and Ech can hold 133 and 141, respectively, that would be awesome. 149 and 157 will be battles, I would assume.
If last year was any indication, we need depth and it appears we have some at basically every weight.

Was slowly scrolling down and hoping to see another post from Ryan... "and why stop there??!!"

Enjoyed watching the team warmup at practice and pumped for the wrestling season to begin!

Interesting that these rankings have Jamison ranked at 49 for OSU and no Casey anywhere. That seems pretty unlikely.

Exciting time to be a Cyclone WR fan. This lineup is stout and it appears we should have some depth, so wouldn’t surprise me to see a few different minor lineup changes throughout the dual season to keep some guys fresh (older guys?).

A few things that stood out to me on other teams
- can’t believe Strickenberger is going to make 125 for another year.
- 149 lb weight class rankings are full of transfers. A few I had forgot are at different schools (McNeil, Stiles, McDougald, etc)
-157 lb seems stacked.
-Walrath for UNI is going to shake up the top 10 of 184.
-Barr would be a tough match up, but I really think Elam could make the finals at 197 with how that top 10 looks. Keep him healthy.
- Mirasola at 285 seems like a Keuter situation. Been to small to be a finals contender but should compete for 6-8 at NCAA’s.

I'm also curious to see how Keuter looks at 285 coming off the hip surgery. He's been off the mat for a while, and also missed a good offseason to bulk up his lower body. I still think he is an AA, but might start slow that could impact his seeding in March

Ech at 6 is certainly something

Disagree on Stanich. Both placed 5th at NCAAs 2 years ago but one was at a weak 125 weight class and the other at 141. So what exactly did Stanich do to be above Ech? Please don’t say he had a good FS season.

The win over Composto last year is probably the difference maker there. But like I said, I think Echemendia beats Composto, too.

They only have 1 common opponent - both losing to Jesse Mendez. As @cyclonenation5 said he beat CJ composto last year and also Sergio Lemley who they have at #10. Whether we like it or not I think he got a bump for his freestyle work this summer.

Ech is going to be in for some battles because 141 is really good and a very deep weight. The top 10-12 guys will be scrapping to make the podium. The big 12 is pretty weak this year but if Manville is there that will be fireworks.

Looking further at the Intermat rankings, the top 4 teams are:
PSU 110
TOSU 107
TOE 100.5
ISU 87
OSU 71

PSU is just a bad upset away from losing their crown. And I betting that Iowa will underperform. Seriously, this MAY BE the biggest team race that we have seen in years. Let's stay healthy and get 'er done.
