Cyhawk postgame thread

This has been bothering me. Early 3rd quarter we punt and tackle Iowa on the 5. A flag for holding on Iowa and should be half the distance to the goal. They still start the drive on the 5 and not the 2.5. Was that just straight wrong by the refs? How did nobody catch that?
Someone explained that the penalty would have been half the distance trom where it was caught, not where he was tackled.

So, the 5 was better than the 6.

So in the post game presser, Campbell said "It felt like we were playing two teams". Then when this comment was brought up again later, he said "we'll let that sink in".

Did he mean it felt like we were playing against Iowa AND against the refs, or did he mean something else?

Matt has never been one to complain about refs, but he certainly had every right to do so today. I have a feeling, though, that he may have been referring to something else, although I have no idea what it was.

I felt like he was saying ISU had been beating themselves with mistakes so Burkle making a play was a good change.

Maybe it was the refs though too although I don't think anything was like KSU 2017 level of bad calls.

Refs, Mistakes, Ourselves, Luck, etc. He could have been insinuating a number of things, I doubt we will ever get more clarity than that.

Give a shoot out to the police clearing out the lots today, after the game we took our time and had a beer, was out of the stadium area ten minutes after we started, right down University, to 30 and then back north on Dakota.

We are in a golden era right now. If you don’t enjoy it, you’ll regret it. This is pretty much everything we’ve always dreamed of. Nationally relevant. Winning close games. An elite coach who could not be a more perfect fit who wants to be here. Players who are so damn easy to love.

They have been so effing lucky. 2 coaches in 50 years is frankly, bull ****.

As a Cyclone fan I’d have killed to have Coach Ferentz. The dumb **** whiny Hawkeye fans who didn’t appreciate their luck over the years always cracked me up.

Sama needs to be more decisive in the backfield. When he blasts into the hole that's there he's very hard to bring down. When he's indecisive and dancing in the backfield, that's when he gets himself and the offense in trouble. Sama looked great today when decisive, and a liability when he wasn't.
He was doing well and then he didn't follow his blockers and danced outside for a loss one play and was promptly pulled. Glad the coaches are holding him accountable. He is getting better.
