Feels like a Guinness needs to find its way to the show logo with the other beverages, Chris.

For where I sit, the music is too loud. It sounded like the speakers were breaking during the entrance and kick off portion. It honestly sounded terrible. Do they only test it from certain sections?

I sit in section M so maybe it has to do with that some of the speakers on the new board are aimed right at me?

@brentblum unfortunately not all eyes were on Baylor. Did Fox and ESPN intentionally schedule two big Big 12 non-conference games in the same window?

In other news, I support Jamie Pollard on 95% of his decisions over the years. What he has accomplished is nothing short of amazing.
I think beer should be sold @ Trice to the commoners (cut it off @ halftime)
My biggest beef? These home & home series w/ Ohio, now Arkansas state--is certifiably INSANE.
~ Absolutely hate these foolish away games against hack opponents and 18,000 fans
~ Jamie--put on your big boy pants and pay a team to come to Ames, guaranteeing a 7th home game EVERY SEASON.
~takes away another home game for the fans, for the Ames economy
~takes away another opportunity to showcase our campus and facilities
~a chance we could lose. does 'Ohio U" in 2023 ring a bell?
~show some arrogance. The U of Iowa would NEVER stoop this low, unless it's held in Soldier Field for example

Anyone defending these stupid non-conference Home & home series with anyone other than Iowa....needs their head examined

How much are you donating so we don’t have to “stoop this low”?

Maybe you’re unaware of the deficit our AD is hurtling towards. A home and home makes sense because you’re not having to shell out money you don’t have. As far as Iowa goes, they are riding the B10 media rights coattails for as long as they can, and therefore don’t have to schedule home and homes, yet

Fans also underestimate how much other P4 programs schedule home and homes with G5 teams. A lot of fans seem to think we're the only ones. Here's a list for this season of P4 teams playing @G5.

Notables:
WVU @ Ohio.
OU @ Temple
UNC @ Charlotte
Utah @ Wyoming
Arkansas @ Memphis

I sat in B with my wife and if she didn’t b**** then it wasn’t too loud.

FFS OU plays at Temple.

Why is this such a hot button issue with our fan base?

Flora hammy happened right in front of me. It looked bad initially but based on how he and the staff reacted after a bit, I’m guessing he’ll be fine long term. Idk about this weekend though. Hamstrings can be fickle. I bet he’ll be limited.

So barely any. OU’s was Boren wanting to increase OU’s exposure in northeast, a splurge a wealthy AD can afford. UNC is playing in the largest metropolitan area in the state, where tons of its alumni live. Hardly comparable to Arkansas St type 1 for 1. Similar situation for Arkansas and its 2 for 1 with Memphis

Certainly not many for schools with strong home game support ($)

It only makes sense if you can charge the same for season tickets despite one less home game, which is possible in years with Iowa coming to Ames. But if CyTown is as successful as we need it to be, these 1-for-1 will end

Ballpark rate for a buy game was $1.5 million or less. Take off the cost of sending the team to Jonesboro, and we can net more with the home game. Plus the coaches would be happier
