Some want “big donors” to solve everything; it will take all of us donating to the degree we can. Too many fans are on the sidelines and many of them have strong opinions and lots of complaints.

Just wait, if this keeps going down this road, you haven’t seen anything yet.

Most P5 schools are doing something like this:

Won’t link others, but again most have done this.

I believe this is ISU’s version:

Why do the names they come up with for these things blow so bad?

The second thread I posted here was saying exactly this. Get 100K alums to donate an average of 10-100 bucks a year and you don't need any mega donors just a bunch of little ones. Of course that post got negged to oblivion and I was essentially told to stfu.

I have said it many times before, A&M did their Century Club during their B12 years and added lots of donors and money at $100 (century, get it?). This was the launch point for their eventual move to the SEC. the base was in place for their big donors to then fund the move.

I didn't mean to hit a nerve with you on the Foundation.

All I know is that each year I send money to the Foundation for the NCC contribution, then I have to send a separate check to the Foundation for the Gridiron Club, just as I was instructed to do.

As for the Foundation being part of the University, you are technically correct it is a separate Foundation organization, established under the IRS laws and rules that serves only one entity, Iowa State University. Since its only function is helping Iowa State University it would be hard to argue it is not part of Iowa State. Using the Foundation, or any fund in the Foundation, as a conduit for passing NIL payments to players will never happen unless the NCAA, or another successor organization, specifically allows
the practice.
Didn't hit a nerve. I was just clarifying that Foundation has a separate board of directors, separate balance, separate income statement, and yes, some of their earnings and some donations go directly to Iowa State. Most of it is held on the Foundation's balance sheet and some of the earnings from these balances go to Iowa State for tuition and operations.

Could these programs be a for-credit class under the auspices of the Ivy College of Business? It could be Personal Marketing or something.

Thoughts on this one "The ISUFBCURT Foundation to Bring Top Performing Athletes to Iowa State"?
So how are you going to run this? I know we will probably have the most attractive female teams with you in charge, but what about the the male teams, do you think that will pull in the good football players? :)
