Winning on the road is rare

The defensive rebounding is embarrassing. Should have been up 20 in the first half but apparently nobody had been taught how to box out. It's appalling the number of offensive rebounds this team gives up when they've got the rim surrounded by players. NOBODY finds a man and shoves their *** into the offensive player.

Everybody needs to calm down. Like I posted in another thread, KU won the league last year with a 5-4 road record. They were 14-4 and OU finished 12-6. That means KU could have lost at Hilton and finished 4-5 on the road and still won the conference. Winning on the road is a bonus.

If you're upset about a road loss, be upset about the loss to Tech. That was horrible. Losing to Baylor and Oklahoma is not something to be freaking out about.

Problem with this analogy is ku won 5 hames. Weve won 1 on the road

Not that I disagree, but I think we are just that physically out-manned.
Hogue is tough, but he is only 6'5" and 215. McKay is can get the athletic rebounds, but he too is going to get pushed around. Georges is better than a year ago, but ...Morris? There is a reason why BDJ was leading us in rebounds- almost everyone else is a "minus" rebounder. Plus, when you are constantly doubling and getting beat on defense, you find yourself out of position on rebounds.

Bad news is Hogue and BDJ are gone next year. Hopefully we land Diallo. Williams should help some, as should Burton. Nader and McKay may improve.
