In the 90s, my formative years, the hawkeyes were just so disrespectful and uppity toward Iowa State. Not much has changed since then, aside from one school's athletics catching (leap frogging?) the other.
Even at 7-8 years old I could see the BS disrespect, so I made the choice to root for the underdog, and not just follow the crowd. Couldn't be happier with that decision. My kids are living those same years now and ISU routinely has the upper hand.
