Who is the better driver?

I have put 5 front bumpers on my wifes 2006 Pontiac. In our house I win in a landslide.

If men do a higher share of their driving on the freeways (and I suspect that this is the case due to differing commuting patterns), this would make them appear to be less dangerous drivers than they really are.

This also brings up something that explains the higher rate of fatalities: if men are driving more freeway miles, the accidents that they are in are more likely to be fatal due to being at higher speeds.

Here is my non-scientific feelings.

Men drive faster on average so when they get in an accident the accident is worse
Men drive more aggressive
Woman pay less attention
Woman may drive safer vehicles overall?
Men drive more (this study says this) and probably are better at hanbdling and avoiding accidents
Men think they drive better so they take more risks

So to summarize, I don't have a clue. All I know is that I feel a lot safer behind the wheel going 80mph than riding with my wife driving 65 but that's probably a control issue.

A couple days ago a woman coasted halfway into my lane on the highway, forcing me to go onto the shoulder. I caught back up to her at a red light and she didn't even acknowledge me, I don't think she realized what happened.

Men > Women hands down. I rarely let my mom drive when I'm with her because she's a terrible driver.

Men. Out of the people I know women get in more fender benders and accidents than the men.

Men get in accidents because they're too aggressive.

Women get in accidents because they're not paying attention.

And we have a winner!

Not to be sexist, but generally speaking, men are better drivers than women. We may drive faster and more reckless on average, but generally we pay more attention when we're driving...

The real question is who causes the most accidents? There maybe a male driver that gets in an accident by trying to avoid a situation caused by a female driver.
