Saw these few pictures on Quran Gafiz's twitter page from the recruitment discussions...side-by-side of all three single color unis, look pretty good though I think the "filter" is making the all-yellow look better than the other photos:

Only us & USC are rocking the ketchup & mustard. We're unique. Yellow-gold has been our color far longer that "real" gold.

I'm not talking about "real" gold, as you put it, which is the shiny metallic gold seen with ND, Colorado, etc. I'm talking about the "muted" gold, as someone previously put it. To me, which isn't to say everyone, but that gold says Iowa State University more than any other version. Think of the Tailgate apparel and letterman's jackets. My dad went to ISU in the '70s, so maybe I've been brainwashed. The gold below is pretty unique and not even close to the 49ers.

its called sunflower gold, our helmets were that color for approximately 10 years out of roughly 120. I like it though.

I don't think I'm seeing a difference. I could be wrong but I think it's the same, but the video is being shot in lower light than we are used to seeing.

Like andy said, they look dark because of the light. They are the same boring grey ones sadly.
