Where's the damn winter weather thread!

Seriously. I expected a weather thread to be started weeks ago and have reached megathread status by now.

4" or so here in CR. Broke out the snowblower and make somewhat quick work of it. Only got clogged with the snow and leaves once.

Roughly 4" in Ankeny. Enough to create a busing disaster in my part of town. Even with a two hour delay, buses didn't show up. Then the delayed replacement bus didn't show up. You'd think we're Atlanta and hadn't seen snow before.

We've gotten roughly a foot of snow within 28 hours. I'm already sick of winter, 5 weeks before the official solstice.

I feel motivated to concoct a strategic move to more palatable climates, where all I'd have to face is threat of wildfire, high occurrence of tornadoes, hurricanes, extreme flooding, winter-long rain, 110-degree highs for 12 weeks or single-digit wind chill from November thru March.

I'm trying to maintain a positive outlook, comparatively speaking.

At least it's going to feel balmy warm Saturday compared to what we're experiencing now.

Record cold today in West Des Moines. Another nasty winter ahead. i just hope it's warmer in Memphis than it was last time.
