What year is this jersey from?

Other than all of the photographic evidence showing that the road white jersey from that era never had red side inserts.

Someone must have added them after market (or whatever the term would be for clothing). It very much looks like a real jersey from that era (Jon Davis?), and most definitely not something you could get at a store. And while China does a great job of mocking up Nike jerseys on eBay and other markets these days, they weren’t doing that in 2004.

So I don’t think it’s a fake. I think it’s legit, with someone having added the red side striping for some reason.

One of my fondest memories from first grade!

Tony and I caught up in 2018 about this picture and are still friends to this day. May Stevie's memory be a blessing.
