Along with Noel the receiving corps looked as good as they have in a long time last night.
One thing I noticed that we always seemed to have two receivers in the same area on a lot of the passes. Either bad route running or we were reading the defenses wrong. I agree that we needed more swing passes out of the backfield, as Clemson pretty much had 1 or 2 on each possession.

So with recruiting getting better you see bad years to come?

Can you define what a 'bad year' is now?
I see where people are going crazy on how much better our recruiting is getting. Maybe, a little but still is not near the top of the Big 12. I go by average rating not total points of the recruits. If you go by average rating we are 7th in the Big 12. Now that it is not last but it is not that great either. A bad year is anything less than six wins.

I used get pounded by fellow forum participants when I would complain about coach Paul Rhodes. He did have some success, granted not as much as Campbell has had, but he faded toward the end of his tenure at Iowa State. I predict the same for Campbell.

So thus far CMC has gotten more out of the recruiting and has got the best class ever coming in but he's going to fade?

CPR didn't fade--he bottomed out.

And it's Rhoads.

That makes no sense.

By this time in Rhoads tenure his recruiting was very bad and his rosters a mess at some positions.

CMC on the other hand just signed his best class. It doesn’t matter what it’s ranked, it’s better than what he has been working with. And he’s been doing well with what he’s had, even if this year was a 9 win team that stumbled its way to 7.
