*Captain Obvious warning* Winning out is the only way we can still get to Dallas.

Guessing we lose at least one more so hoping for a return trip to San Antonio or Orlando.

The thing is every team has disappointing seasons. It just feels a lot worse when high expectations are a new thing in the program. As long as Campbell is here there are going to be some seasons with high expectations. Sometimes the team will meet them, sometimes they will fall short. And there will be seasons with modest expectations where ISU exceeds them. It’s just part of the deal.

My goals for the team:
1. Win as many games left as possible to send this great class of seniors / players who won’t be back next year out as winners.
2. Beat Texas and OU as a “screw you” to them as they leave the conference.
3. Win a bowl game. We’ve only won FIVE in our program’s history, so don’t act like any bowl win would not be meaningful. A bowl game would also be important for the development of our younger players for next year.

Agreed, this was the most disappointing season in school history as far as I'm concerned. Inexcusable to be 5-3 right now with the talent and experience we had back.
2002 was the worst I thought. Seneca Wallace senior season where we were ranked #9. Then gave up after getting drilled by OU. Finished in Boise on the blue field in a bowl game and lost that game too.

Now that the Clones dropped their 3rd game of the season, what goals are still realistically attainable for this team?

Beat Iowa - Nope
Go Undefeated in Conf? Nope
New Year’s 6 or CFP game? Nope
Conf Championship? Nope
Win Bowl Game? Yes, but only mid tier bowl.

Serious letdown for a team returning this kind of talent.
Now can officially say no Conf Championship. What an unbelievably sad season. CMC and team built up the hype and fell flat on their face this year. Something very off with this team - I am simply not sure if the coaching staff is going to learn or take something from this season. Were fairly arrogant up til this last game (whole team). Hard to believe a team returning that level of talent could produce this type of season.

Have a feeling all of a sudden quite a few Black Friday TCU tickets will be available for sale.

Not exactly sure.

Have already given away my spares. Bought two tickets to give away to friends of other teams (not iowas) to tailgate with and go to games.

Only thing left worth a crap is winning at OU. I'm sure OU will be plenty pissed off next week so don't see that happening. Especially the way the defense has played at WVU & Tech.

Show up for rest of remaining games and don't give up til its 0:00.
